If Pakistan cuts US air routes to Afghanistan, USA may impose war over Islamabad: Former US diplomat

There is a disturbing trend going on here i see,the thread mention two particular country and a third chaddi party sneaked here like cockroaches like they always do in internet. It is really really really disturbing to see these cockroaches everywhere even in these forum.Somebody tell them to keep their facts in their forum and not to jump in every conversation here.
Somebody mention a mod and say him to take these dirts out of here.
I already fooked some of these cockroaches and got banned.I do not want to loose this ID too.

Pak should ready their nukes. If any thing happens they should vaporize entire chaddiland with tel aviv and some bases of murikkans in ME.

I think Pakistan should sign a mutual defence treaty with China as well. That would require Pakistan to officially break off relations with the USA, but I don't think that will be a problem. Once Pakistan has a mutual defence treaty with China, they can properly test ICBM's and thermonuclear warheads without concern.

Pakistan can defend itself against foreign aggression be it from India or the US. As for testing ICBM, like most members here suggest (And I disagree) that US is not a nuke able threat for Pakistan to develop an ICBM. Rest assured if we could develop nuclear weapons while remaining in sanctions, we can develop an ICBM should the need arises(I hope it does soon).

USA doesnt need to use military force at all, just heavy sanctions which is its favourite tactic(essentially usa or us-based companies or companies that want to enter us market will be banned from business with pak or pak based companies/org as well as cutting trade, and punishing those who trade with pak by restricting them from us market).Pak is vulnerable to this due to already weak economy. This is why pak will not close the route, thats their shield against sanctions. Its a cat and mouse game, eventually nothing serious will happen probably.
We have been under sanctions in the past as well due to our nuclear program. Our economy back than was even more pathetic that it is now. If that didnt deterred than, no amount of US sanctions will now. Just because its Pakistan suddenly all logic flies out of the window? I mean you think Pakistan does not know it can be sanctioned at any time. Why do you think Pakistan has recently decided to use Yuan? If you analyze the situation a bit carefully and see Pakistan's recent actions, you would understand that Pakistan is taking calculated steps to minimize the impact of US sanctions if they impose (which they will sooner or latter). Even the US administration realizes that it has little leverage over Pakistan and whatever there is left they dont want to lose it while Pakistan is prepared to end this relationship for good.

Our defenses are good enough for India, not the US.

Pakistani economy is not magic.

US poured huge amounts of money into Pakistan after its decision to join War on Terror. In-spite of this, Pakistani economy was on the brink of collapse in 2008 because fighting a war is expensive and IMF was approached to rescue it. Now that IMF has stabilized it, we are still facing trade of balance deficit. CPEC is something fresh but far from a game-changer yet.

Pakistan [is] vulnerable these days. Although defenses have improved but the army has expended lot of munitions on terrorists and rogue elements in a series of major operations in regions along Durand Line but such operations are no longer on the cards. Pakistan was expecting additional flows of aid and reimbursements from the US but Trump administration is not forthcoming, instead leveling accusations on us. Therefore, recent bout of strained ties.

We need to preserve our resources for India; not expend them all on terrorists and rogue elements. Pakistan will no longer "do more" for the US under the current set of circumstances. It is not in the position to.

That chaddi party is known for its cheer leading skills and mujra ability for anyone who says even a word against Pakistan.

But if Pakistan supports its biggest ally China against same chaddi party then they whine and cry.

Never implied otherwise however that does not mean Pakistan cannot defend itself against an attack from US.

Pakistani economy is not magic.

Yes our economy is not magic, no country is. Till the time we have thugs like Nawaz we will always be vulnerable however politics aside our position is better than it was during the 90s. Back than there was hardly any Chinese investment in Pakistan, now we are talking about somewhere from 55 billion to 60 billion USD. Do the maths?

US poured huge amounts of money into Pakistan after its decision to join War on Terror. In-spite of this, Pakistani economy was on the brink of collapse in 2008 because fighting a war is expensive and IMF was approached to rescue it. Now that IMF has stabilized it, we are still facing trade of balance deficit. CPEC is something fresh but far from a game-changer yet.

Most of the money US spent was in reimbursement and CSF. Anyway compared to that Pakistan suffered a much much larger loss amounting to over a 100 billion to economy and 50 to 70K Pakistanis losing their lives. Again if you do the maths, we wouldnt even had to go to IMF had this not happened. Why do you think Pakistan is resisting US pressure to initiate another war on our borders?

I think Pakistan already saw the writing on the wall since the launch of new Afghan policy. Our economy has always been vulnerable, no doubt but today we are in a batter shape than lets say in the 90s.

We need to preserve our resources for India; not expend them all on terrorists and rogue elements. Pakistan will no longer "do more" for the US under the current set of circumstances. It is not in the position to.

Agreed.

Reviving of space program and announcement made by defence forces,,, So do your calculations where are we heading and to whom the message was being given...

However, I strongly feel we lack a proper foreign office here... There is no doubt that there is no room for further compromise as we are fighting US wars since 80s even after they ditched us in 71 but there is always a middle way ...

WHy we are so bad negotiator that we cant find a middle ground, why it is always like either we are with them or against them ? I think it is due to our poor diplomacy ...

Look at India they are biggest defence partner of Russia yet they are about to get special defence rights from US ... they are best friend of Israel but still Palestine humiliates us for India,,,

Issue is we do not understand that weapons are just one tool of war, other tools include, diplomacy, foreign relations, information war and fifth generation war ...

We need a grand strategy provided that our parliment and peolpe in power can get out of "Mujhey Kun Nikala", "Lanti" etc etc ...

As a rule US does not go to war directly if it can defend itself. Sanctions would be imposed with a view of regime change.

Pakistan should call this bluff and immediately nuke Delhi and Israel and every US base in the middle east.

You wont need US to attack you then. lol :cheesy:

Yeah, I know I can't argue and win with guy's like you. You will simply drag me to your level and beat me with your experience.:lol::lol:

Well I should be admiring your intellect and high level of arguments when you support the idea of your friend about attacking Israel in the event of an American assault. Great Idea. :enjoy:

War is always a last option - although Trump is a maverick. But the US has enough options - including sanctions. Pakistan eventually will have to go IMF soon and US wields considerable power there. Just look at the US Government shutdown - Trump is like a petulant child who will go to any lengths to get what he wants. If Pak thinks it is dealing with a sane individual like Obama - who understood geopolitics then they are not going to get very far.
