Establishment needs quality people to work with and post Musharraf establishment have evolved, I think they have been waiting it out till someone takes power. Also collusion with foreign governments to select a PM will become a very hot topic, chickens are about to come home to roost for the opposition and decades of malpractice.

It would be foolish not to have an insight from the shadows because even the system itself needs constant introspection and decades planned in advance.
