Lol.......the similarity is very spooky but New Zealand will probably beat Pakistan tomorrow. The reality is that they are WAY better and ahead of us. But you never know. Stranger things have happened.
This current Pakistan team is not a comparison to 1992 team, That team had, Wasim, Javed, Imran, Mushtaq, Inzimam, Moen, Aqib, all big guns and match winners at the same time, plus the New Zealand side of 1992 was filled with mediocre players apart from Martin Crowe.
So this New Zealand game is tough one for Pakistan, very tough.
For me on paper, the New Zealand is 2nd best team in the world after India. They (New Zealand) have very strong bowling line up along with the strong batting & best fielding, a complete package.
Having said that lets pray that, may Pakistan wins tomorrow and the world cup, Ameen.
NZ bring to the table a very good balling attack and a strong middle order in batting which can perform under pressure. Pakistan will be stressed in both situations in this match irrespective of fielding or batting first.
NZ have the potential to chase 300+ runs target in different conditions which I seriously doubt that Pakistan will be able to provide under its balling attack. Nevertheless, if the pitch in Eagbaston favor balling tricks to an extent then a target within the 270 - 280 runs bracket, will provide ample fighting chance to either team.
Win probability for this match:-
NZ = 70%
PAK = 30%*
*Pakistan have found the right mix of players in its match with South Africa, and this mix is likely to click again.
Only one point to make, About Haris, yes he played really well, but expect short of length, speedy jaw breaking short pitch deliveries to Haris and other batsmen too.
Repeating same performance will be difficult, but not impossible. Mental toughness is essential & important in such games.
