What nonsense. This was a great one day pitch. Both teams scored well over 300. Three great centuries. The Indian bowler who made the difference was Shami. How did the pitch help him more than Boult, Southee or Ferguson?

Yes, a boring one-sided match. India was supposed to play on a fresh pitch but decided to make this match boring by choosing to play on a familiar pitch to post a big total knowing full well that NZ will struggle on it. NZ captain is a gentleman for not questioning controversies but his time is up.

I am not impressed.

ICC should revisit its rules to control World Cup controversies. It is not easy for a country to prepare a star team only to see it loosing matches in a World Cup tournament due to one of the ICC favorites getting all the benefits.

I don't think you have watched the previous matches on this ground.
Earlier, the team who won toss usually won as it has advantage.

Now this pitch was neutral, toss doesn't matter. Whoever plays better wins.

If it was same pitch and as India won the toss had chosen to bat, than every1 would have said India won because of toss. Pitch was a spin track etc.

Lol, how would India know they would bat first ? Did the ICC fix the toss as well? Did you watch the match ? Santner got the most help from the pitch and NZ bowled more overs of spin than India. The difference between the teams was the start given by Indian openers, Virat and Iyer's hundreds and Shami's bowling. What did the pitch have to do with that ?

If India wanted to play the match on a spinning track, they would have picked Ashwin instead of Siraj in the squad. KW was very graceful in admitting that the pitch was great and they lost to the better team. It is only some Pakistanis who are acting like crybabys like Abdullah in a begani shaadi.

Any person having principles can understand a controversy.

Indian team winning a match in an Indian ground while being allowed to play on a familiar pitch and winning the toss as well, does not make it a better team. Everything was in your favor in these conditions.

World Cup Semi Final and Final matches should be on a fresh pitch in a completely neutral venue. This will show which is the better team and what pressure is in real sense.
