ICC Men's Cricket World Cup

England looks to have dug itself a deep hole now.

Seemingly Aussies would be pushed at the bottom of the points table tonight.😁

Good support of the mainstream narrative. In other words India cannot do any wrong!

Are you referring to cricket matches in particular the ICC World Cup or in general India Pakistan relations?
My comments are specific to the India-Pakistan match. Of course, even i mentioned my observation about what should not have happened from India or our Govt regarding our conduct while being a host of the ICC World Cup in another thread.

England lost to Afghan team, LOL

Go Afghans , lovely haha

Amongst, all the previous captains of Pakistan, Babar Azam should be rated highly than others. Most of your other captains had the luxury of having excellent players within their team whereas Babar or even Sarfaraz do not have that luxury in your current team.

Kudos to Afganistan...It was a good upset that will spice up the ranking and NRR for the rest of the teams too.

England ......... (40.3/50 overs, T:285) 215

Afghanistan won by 69 runs

This opens the WC wide open. Now England will be under lot of pressure as now they have to face difficulty matches and will have to win 5 of them to qualify.
If Pakistan beats Australia on Friday, then they almost qualify into finals along with India, NZ, SA.

It's difficult to explain when you have never played any competitive game or actually faced like tough matches during school/college days.

Competing is the basic human nature, greater the struggle more the excitement.
And majority people want competition, that's why you will find huge crowd when 2 heavy weights are competing ,which means hard match.
This is true in all sports , boxing , car race, footbal etc.
No 1 cares about match between 2 teams where it's already known , 1 team will fold and other will win.
just like I didn't watch India / afganistan match and only saw highlights. And that's why whole stadium was also empty.

First common sense, if you want someone to read your long post , don’t assume about who they are. Badi sheki mar rahe ho so assuming you some big pro guy. So do you want as a competitive player get to play game till last ball or win in 30 overs without knowing outcome or easy win. If you say by last ball glad people like you are not leading India team.

Mike Tyson was stomping his opponents in seconds and still largest crowds were there to watch because not that opponents were meek it was just Tyson was that good.

You have no idea how much people enjoy stomping the rivals, if you don’t well tough luck.

I am referring to the youtube video person here.

Stupid video that is in no way related to the match. This guy putting a lot of useless masalas which is in no way related to a cricket match. seems like he is more like a political commentator than a sports one. I am not sure if he knows or not, but Pakistan lost to India even in Sri Lanka or other countries too...

1- Let us accept and assume that India and Pakistan are not friendly politically or at the govt level. BCCI is another arm of Govt of India. So Pakistan Govt or political groups within your country like it or not, but this is the ground reality.
2- In the current age, global cricket and its money is coming out of the Indian market. So whoever has money, will run the show. This guy whoever is complaining, seems like does not understand the economics of cricket.
3- Pakistan lost the match not because they played under any partisan crowd, rather because they did not perform in a specific day. Pakistan's loss is all about lack of ability of their middle order to score runs.
This guy himself is declared fugitive and a wanted bhagoda in his own country pakistan , earlier he was stooge of ISI and was on pay roll of them, after fallout from army he ran away to US . He is typical fanatic pakistani muslim , so a natural hinduphobic .

BCCI defeated PCB the day Asia Cup was shiffted to Lanka.

India defeated Pakistan the day Pakistan Cricket Team came to India to play the World Cup.

Indian Cricket Team defeating Pakistani Cricket Team is just immaterial ; cause aap nango ke kapde nahi utaar sakte. You can't shame the shamless.

Dear Ahmedabad,You are pathetic. You are the kind of people who should only watch cricket on televisions. What you people shouted and chanted at Pakistan players yesterday was horrible.

Something no other country would ever do. Unlike Hyderabad, where people knew how to sit in a stadium and watch a cricket match, it is sad that you people weren’t taught the most basic of things. Mannerism.

Here are some of the awful scenes at the stadium yesterday:* Loud booing at Babar when he was speaking at the toss, making it hard for everyone to hear.* Hindu religious chants at Babar while he was walking back to the dressing room.* "We are your father" in Hindi chants.* "Pakistan on our di***" in Hindi chants.

There are even worse chants I heard in videos that I cannot even type here. It is sad that Pakistan players had to go through this in a World Cup match where every game counts. But then again, horrible, horrible people, I must say.About a month back, India did not want to visit Pakistan for security reasons for the Asia Cup, which eventually led the entire tournament into chaos.

One would expect decency at least from the crowd since Pakistan set aside their ego and came to India anyway for the WC and did not retaliate like kids.In the end, I guess nothing matters because in a decades time, we might as well change the tournament’s name to BCCI Cricket World Cup since India is literally controlling this sport in every sense.

The ‘unsportsmanlike’ conduct was also pointed out by some conscientious Indian fans. Tamil Nadu’s sports minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin, raised the issue in a post on X, saying: “India is renowned for its sportsmanship and hospitality. However, the treatment meted out to Pakistan players at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is unacceptable and a new low.”

Every one in this forum who raised in subcontinent have spend time playing cricket where money and/or pride was at stack. If you say it was thrilling and memorable match after you win close one and remember for your life sure I can agree with you that but as a caption and a team supporter I would choose to take game that is stomping opponents vs close encounters. Also people also remember stomping victories better like Anil Kumble taking 10 wickets.

Also FYI, competition is there every day in every separe of life. You don’t need to play professional sport to understand that. Hell just look at @beijingwalker @mmr and many other for that matter.
