The ICC have sent out a document to Associates and Affiliates as the first step to amending the rules which will allow the Associate and Affiliates to have more than a single governing body and giving the ICC the power to decide which one to recognise. All members have been requested to respond to the resolution by January 22.

Approval of such a move would have the greatest impact on the ongoing dispute between the USA Cricket Association and the American Cricket Federation.

lol... ICC has failed to grow more cricketing nations since past 2 decades and they have finally given up, opening the doors for more boards in affiliate nation and recognising the most competent one. This is what my perception is

On Topic: Given the number of countries, where cricket is being played, I think ICC would do a huge blunder to discourage more countries joining it. Cricket is already not that popular in the world.. apart from South Asia.

Oh we feel that PCB is not conforming to wishes of ICC , and we think Mr Harichand Gopal will be better suited to run PCB in New Pakistan Cricket Board Association , so please do not send any Pakistani Team to next World cup the new body will select a Pakistani Team which ICC would recognize in future
