IB, RAW job aspirants lack 'intelligence

You can. You can get the application from Indian embassy. But I guess you have to come to India to write it. My brother just took the exam.


But you dont need to take civil services for intelligence service job. Look for notifications in newspaper for jobs from cabinet secretariat. These are direct RAW, IB cadre jobs and come for interpreters and such pathetic names.

So you don;t need to take IPS exam to get involved with IB or RAW? IS there any way to find out the newspaper notifications....I mean that is not an effective way of finding candidates. I was just thinking israel routinely recruits from jews who are born abroad to serve. Plz any info would be kindly and greatly appreciated...

It does not matter where you were born and raised, it matters that you have Indian Citizenship. Which you can have even if your parents had Indian Citizenship, but you have to have it formally.

That information is not completely correct. Newspaper adverts will only lead to non-technical jobs. Civil Service entry is the direct route along with lateral-entry from specific other related services.

Thanks for the insight....but I thought it took 20 yrs to get Indian citizenship....well I would have to live in India 20 yrs to get it? Damn the Israelis are lucky .....if you are a JEw you are a JEw then and get automatic citizenship no matter what! It works out because they get talent regardless of location.

I have seen that the new age indian youth has more knowledge on music and bollywood than current affairs...this is a sad direction to head towards. Most of the top class indian talent takes first flight to Canada, USA and Europe never to look back again!

Nope, that is incorrect as well. It is 12 yrs (if I'm not mistaken) for somebody not of Indian descent to get citizenship by naturalisation.

Infact you're saying it the other way round. Wit amazing salaries now a days. most toppers prefer to stay in India, unlike 20 years ago.

There are two ways to get into IB and RAW. first is through deputation from police, army or para military forces and the second is through UPSC.

our selection procedures need to be revamped extensively. The very thought that policement make excellent intelligence operatives is wrong. security and intelligence are two different fields which need different set of expertise.

i think govt needs to aggressively pursue a strategy of capturing bright kids from university itself. i national talent search proggramme/infrastructure needs to be put in place at the earliest.
