IAI and Raphael participate in a competition for a new air defense system in Poland

IAI and Raphael are among the international companies competing for the supply of missiles to Poland's new and advanced air defense system. Details of the plans will be presented at the MSPO Defense and Army Exhibition, which takes place in the Polish city of Kielce between the 7th and 10th of the month.
The new NAREW $ 8 billion GNA program is planned to provide Poland with air defense with 40-kilometer missiles, and will complement the previous WISLA GNA system, based on US-made Patriot missiles.
Global Defense News reports that competitors for the supply of missiles to the new system are the Norwegian company Kungsberg, the European arms corporation MBDA, IAI and Rafael. Rafael offers SKY CEPTER interceptors, and hopes to continue long-standing cooperation with the Polish military industry, which produces SPIKE LR anti-tank missiles.
Raphael confirms that the company is competing with Sky Sparta interceptors in Poland's air defense program together with American Raytheon. The aerospace industry offers the Poles the BARAK MX system. The aerospace industry confirms that the system is offered to Poland.
Poland has recently announced particularly large procurement projects, including 24 Turkish TB2 Turkish skimmers and a plan to procure 250 Abrams M1A2 tanks made in the USA.
