I just have one simple question for you: this thread was never a comparison thread between IAF's Vayi Shakti and PAF's Saffron Bandit, so what was purpose of putting this post and that video? And you are blaming Indians for going off-topic!!! I went through all the posts before this "PAF does it this way" post of yours, and none of the post compared this IAF's exercise to PAF's exercise, NONE, so why did you feel the need to bring Saffron Bandit comparisons?

Before this post of yours, there were 2 posts from pakistani members, one mocking the fact that this was the place where 2 sukhois crashed last year, tell me what was the point of that post, and second was yours in reply to some indian member saying dhruv is amazing to which you replied with the crash history, now again since the poster just expressed his personal fanboy opinion rather than comparing dhruv to any other helicopter or any other exercise, neither did he claim that dhruv never crashed, so why did you bring up the crash history in this domestic EXERCISE thread.

Come on dude, nobody is disrespecting the PAF here, its a very potent force in its own right, nobody is disrespecting the exercises PAF does, so please just let us just enjoy some Vayu Shakti photos in peace. Thanks

Actually, it's a foot print of the very beast you detest, since you are an ice breaker and probably oblivious to the two day history when India beat Pakistan in Hockey. Well done to India, however some of your country fellows were determined to post pictures of the Flanker in a sports thread, where as the topic here after all is the airforce. Anyways enjoy yourself.

@Windjammer
From your previous posts i can see that you love military aviation. I think you can do better here in this thread, Rather defeating every troll you could have given your opinion (Pakistani) on this topic so that we could have made more balance opinion about this Fire power demo.
Thanks

My dear, when i did contribute, i wasn't competing, rather giving a comparison as how in my humble opinion it should be executed.
Just my two cents.

Sure...
it will be a blockbuster show,
Also recent purchase of new F-16s with day-night, air-dropped precision-guided munitions and precision during all weather conditions will be a new capability to use.

I am not sure about time frame and what further capabilities after Mid-Life Update PAF F16 will get for night capabilities but i am 100% sure that F16 will get an advanced targeting pod that provides the ability to generate ground position data that can then be used to direct guided munitions to a target.
In addition, the Mid-Life Update is coming with an advanced communications system that enables real time communication with ground forces – a critical capability for Close Air Support missions. Combined, these systems provide Pakistan’s Air Force with the technological capability to conduct precision close air strikes as well as will provide non-traditional Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (NTISR).

We can also talk about ~35 night capable upgraded mirage 2000 but what would be the influence of SAAB AWACS in future PAF doctrine will be what i would like to closely watch.

Best of luck....

A lone Searcher MKII surveillance drone from the Jaisalmer-based 3002 Squadron (Cat's Eye) recorded the entire Vayu Shakti demo.

Those posters are generally newbies and you are a senior, you want to reach to their level is your choice. I see same thing happening from other side and is quit natural, I do reply to them.

As you can see in the fire display video which i posted, PAF doesn't reveal all it's aresanal, hence footage of all specialised weapons has been edited, however in this video you can see the current capability is also quite effective. REGARDS.

Hi some fundamental question here? Are these really from a UAV...?

The angle of these pictures show from ground level. I still have my doubts as if UAV was flown so low?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

1. Do not go by angles. The UAV was not flying overhead.
2. The UAV was not stationary it was also flying for 4 hour.
3. Have you watched the show live on Doordarshan (India's national broadcaster)? The UAV was also giving live and realtime pictures of missiles being fireed, bomb being released and target hit.
4.Apart from technical reason, UAV is deployed for audience who are watching it on TV. So that they can know what is going on.

These pictures are released by IAF to media. The media says these pictures are from UAV. So I mentioned that. You are free to make your own conclusion. I am not an UAV expert.

Thanks NSG, for your reply. I did not have access to DD National and even no idea about the footage release. But liked the resolution of the UAV.

I thought this was thru night vision camera's and mis-quoted as thru UAV. The only reason for my suspicion is if the angle of the camera is that low at what height from ground level was the UAV flown. Obviously, no threat to UAV from enemy fire then the bird can fly so low.

kudos to the handler to fly it low as its still risky to tug the ground surface.
