IAF's Sukhois to be stationed near Pakistan border

Gentleman. I think we all know the Difference between the PAF and the IAF.

Well said we all know:lol:

Glad you admit it :enjoy:

Any misadventure by the Indians, will invite stout and well-timed retaliation from Pakistan.

Sixth sense? scare much? :what:

Is anywhere in article anything of that sort is written ? I think no!

Then why posting crap??

.
This will be responded & as previously mentioned, by a Thunder squadron, most probably. However, its wierd that IAF came up with this now: with such a large AF, shouldn't this have happened a decade back?

Anyway, welcome from Pakistan, we aint loosing any sleep.

.
I guess Pakistan might respond by stationing JF-17  near the India border too.

The new F-16s block C/D are already minutes flying time from the border.....that is going supersonic......but we don't know exactly about their role...like would they be used for Pre-emptive strikes (for which they need stand off weapons) or for providing Air Defense against intruding IAF fighters....maybe someone can shed some light on it?

Anyone??

Most of the Pakistan Air force bases are close to border. Is this not offensive ?? May be due to the size of the country.

75% of our important bases are more than 200 KM. This is 1st squadron of MKI near border. It's normal and nothing offensive

Look at the cities in Pakistan...most of them lie along the ancient banks of the river Indus and other rivers.......so air bases are around where there is most population to defend against...

And you are spokes person of pakistan defence forces? Bangladeshi? lol

Ahhhh! If a Bangladeshi can think about this, then what makes you think that our strategic planners,think-tanks in defence ministry were not aware of all this? :what:

And all the reports related to military bases and their securities are not supposed to publish in media!

*need brain*

And Bangladesh is getting F-22, Don't worry ;)

Don't be quick to jump to conclusions.....Pakistan getting FC-20 and or J20s is much closer to reality than Bangladesh getting F-22....there hasn't been a single piece of weapon which Pakistan requested and Chinese denied.......

.
This GOI surely knows to waste time effort and money on borders we don't need the MKIs for. WTF are we going to do with MKIs on Pakistani border? Kill a bunch of deranged militants? Technically a majority of MKIs must be stationed in the eastern command while keeping the Tejas, MiG-29UPG, Mirage-2000-9, MRCA etc on the western border. We need ranged jets for eastern borders. Getting to keep a 5,000 Km+ capable jet on western border is an overkill.

There is nothing offensive about it! period!

We should have done this way before! I am really surprised that we are doing this now!

And where am i denying that? I was just responding to that Bangladeshi!

Btw...Congrats in advance for getting FC-20 and j20s.:)

Its just a defencive action, that has been proposed by the Indian side to defend its territories and the title clearly says Sukhoi's to fly closer to Pakistan and not into Pakistans territory so lets not fight a war of words with hypothesis of IAF intruding into Pakistans Air space.

.
Sukhoi MKI is operational in Jodhpur for last 1 year but news came today.

50% News never come on public domain. Don't ask how i know ? ;)

.
pakistans low altitude defence is very strong and sukhois wont use dumb bombs as they will have to come down anr get shot.
guided bombs and missiles are what they will use.
most of their weapons are GPS guided.....GPS jamming capability for large areas should be the most importan step for pakistan under current situation.

India's topline Sukhoi Su-30 combat planes will permanently roar over Rajasthan's skies, with the Indian Air Force deploying from Saturday a squadron of the air superiority fighter jets at the Jodhpur air base, from where the Pakistan border is a mere two minute flight away.

"This will be the first time a squadron of the Su-30MKI aircraft is being based in Rajasthan, that too close to Pakistan border
," a defence ministry official told IANS here Friday.

With the induction of the Sukhoi squadron in Rajasthan, the Indian Air Force's (IAF) strike capability has been ramped up considerably.

"The squadron will formally assume its duties with effect from October 1 from Jodhpur air base," defence spokesperson at Jodhpur Col. S.D. Goswami said.

"The squadron taking to the Western sector skies - with its lethal strike force, multi-role function and weaponry carrying capability - will give unassailable advantage to IAF in this sector," Goswami said.

The twin-engined Russian-origin Sukhoi Su-30, with a capacity to touch 2 Mach or 2,450 kmph speeds, are now produced under licence in India.

These war birds are set to get deadlier with the integration of the supersonic BrahMos cruise missile very soon. The aircraft has a range of 5,200 km and a capacity to carry 8,000 kg of warheads.

The Sukhoi squadron will have 16 aircraft in its inventory.

The planes have already arrived Jodhpur from Pune in Maharashtra
, where they were previously based, officials said.

I dont see the logic of this move when recently there has been talk of china being more assertive in the NE of india. but then these war games are never logical.

Maybe indian high command want to send a message to china that they are scared and pleasse dont attack us our weapons are for pakistan not china?

How significant is 16 SU-MKI's for an AF that will eventually have 300+ ?

Why the hell will China invade a powerful nuclear armed nation like India ?

Possibly cause unrepairable destruction to the planet and it's own infrastructure just for a little oil drill or an East Indian state ?

Your wet dream is going wild.
