IAF to select crew for India's 1st manned mission to space

space varies from moon,mars,jupiter...saturn....beyond limits . You can expect us to be in MARS after 2 generations .

yup..after a few puffs on certain type of cigarett you can be on another galaxy..not just mars...
but i was talking about a real human on ndias own space craft.

Yup India is developing a re-entry spacevehicle (SRE-1) and succesfully tested it,ISRO Orbital Vehicle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and SRE-1 safe return makes India's re-entry technology a great success - Instablogs.Japan has ambition for it`s own independent space mission too, they are now part of ISS, don`t know about south Korea but i think they too have sent sattelite on their own space vehicle..

.
Japan...south korea....and many other countries with money and technology decades ahead of india never found it important to send axman.in space onboard their own rocket...
so its not just about money..
I dont know what financial benifit sending man in space will give to india...
i am braced for newscafter news about thiscyet to materialize indian project...each news with a very long digit number ending with "caror"..
and chandranayan was an escape goat volunteered by india for the failed crashing of satellite into moon experiment of nasa..

being from IAF thay will be called MMRCA-NOTS.

For a space program or any scientific advancement a country will have it's own path and goal, it's not necessary that Japan or Korea didn't do so India won't venture in to that domain...The same thing was said when India first introduced computer in 70's - that for a poor country like India it's waste of resource, but the benefit is great today and the IT industry have employed millions of Indians direct and indirect...By the way India have done remarkable development form the 70's and now we have the resource and technology to conduct such complected space missions, also when you spend money on such space missions it will develop immense interest among the youths in the Engineering and other technology, and being the second largest populated country and 9th largest economy in the world we are in correct path by investing in space mission and technology...

Today we make our own satellites and rockets to send them, and even send others satellites in our rockets and this in turn generate revenue for us...If our leaders thought like you and stooped spending any money on Indian space program in 70's - then even today we have to depend on others like Pakistan to make Satellite or to send them to space...

Now we are almost self reliant in satellite technology, and the satellites send by ISRO is playing major role in India's education, telemedicine and for many other purpose...

Only an insane person will say don't spend the money on technological development when people are poor, poverty can be removed in any country only through innovation and technology, and for this you need to spend your money on advanced technology and then innovation will follow...

There is an old say "Don't give me the fish but teach me to fish! it will feed me life long" - a country can lift it's entire section of society out of poverty only when it invest on technology...

The best example is Apollo Moon Mission:- The mission didn't make USA to have colony in moon, but on the other hand - "With the success of the Apollo program, NASA delivered great progress in the fields of rocketry and aeronautics, as well as the fields of civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Lesser known accomplishments are some of the many spinoffs that came from the Apollo program—partnerships created between NASA and industry to commercialize the technologies developed for the historic missions to the Moon."

Below is one example, and you can read it yourself the so many other benefits :

Apollo's Contributions to America

Cooling Suits Provide Comfort
Cool suits, which kept Apollo astronauts comfortable during moon walks, are today worn by race car drivers, nuclear reactor technicians, shipyard workers, people with multiple sclerosis and children with a congenital disorder known as hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia, which restricts the body’s ability to cool itself.

Here I got something from Wikipedia Article.

Abdul Qadeer Khan also cited the fact that India had made rapid advances in launch technology and satellite manufacture as another motivation for developing an indigenous launch capabilities. :D Abdul Majid, then-chairman of SUPARCO, confirmed Khan's statement and said "Pakistan envision a low-cost SLV and Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) inroder to launch light-weight satellite into low-earth orbits. Abdul Qadeer Khan also added that" Pakistan has very robust IRBMs which can launch geostationary orbiting satellites. All Pakistan has to do is to erase Delhi or Kolkota from the target and point it towards the sky. Instead of Hydrogen bombs and Atomic bombs the missiles can easily carry a payload of a satellite"

Did any one expect a person can land on moon? There were many safriz's at that time . If funds are not a problem stepping on mars is not a problem for US,Russia(can do that in 25 years if they are seriously willing),China,India and Japan
