IAF to Get Another 36 Rafale Combat Aircraft

Rafales are just to costly. $250 million a piece. You would get 4 F16 or 3 Gripens for that price.

. .
When it will touch 126+ mark? Hope the doklam issue will force finance ministry to pump more money for going larger numbers of Rafale for IN & IAF.

Where is the money? No need break the bank balance. F16 or Gripens are more than good.

. . .
India has the best option too, that of F-35.
Its all about money.

While the Chinese have virtually stopped all foreign maal, India is still squandering Indian tax payer's money.
This jingoism goes contrary to low income Indian's interests.

I would not have mentioned above, had the GOI not compromised on India's R&D funds and Indian education budget.

Out of the top 11 smart companies in the world, 8 are American, 3 are Chinese.
This shows you how China is growing, leaving India behind.

If India is trying to catch up with China by producing home grown defense maal, it is ok. But not when a low income country as India is splurging and compromising the future of Indian kids.

Teachers' shortage hits education in government ... - Times of India

Give you a better example:

Despite a low crude oil prices, Indian price at the pump remains the same 68 Rs. per liter.
While the price (after the petrol exits the refinery) is 24 Rs. Excise of 44 Rs, is added to it.
Where goes this money?

Defense purchase of course.
Who suffers?
Common Indian man.
GOI is bleeding Indians, by keeping the fuel costs higher than the US.

Another 36? where are the first 36?
Delivered? NO

No.

If we buy another 36 more rafale, it will be an @$$ kicking capability and shall give our enemy aghtmare. By the time MKIs shall be upgraded to super MKI and Tejas mk1 shall come in. This will be a very deadly combo for any of our enemy to crak it.

I dont get it

Cheerleaders are all hyped up over an expensive yet obsolete non stealth aircraft :D

.
36+36 Rafale are enough, now pay a billion dollar to Boeing or Saab as consultancy charges and make LCA as good as F-16 or Gripen

. .
Not a single piece more than 18 more . total of 54 Rafales is distinct possibility .
