IAF to deploy Apache strike helicopters at Indo-China border

I don't think PLA have any WZ10 deployed along the border with India.

How much per LCH cost?

The WZ-10 is an attack helicopter . It is designed primarily for anti-tank missions but is believed to have a secondary air-to-air capability as well.

If this is true...... good going China.... It will be a good machine to counter Apache and plus point is its your own not buying it..

You don't counter attack helicopter by another attack helicopter :coffee:

Apache can be used for deep strikes . A couple of Apaches can wipe out an entire regiment with full load !!

Well if 2 attack helis approach each other den I dont think dey will run away . They will suerly fight right?
What is the use of arming them with air to air missiles ?

An helicopter with air to air missile is for defend itself, you can't expect using a heli attacking another one in normal
Routine.

IAF should put more focus on indeginous LCH rather than Apache

There is an firm order for 179 LCH.

Both helicopters belong to different category and both offer different advantages.

Apache offers huge firepower and very good anti-armor capacity, while LCH offers capacity to conduct operations at Kargil like areas, due to its service ceiling(18,000 feet plus)

Defend itself from what? fighter jets?? Usually the missiles carried are of short range AAM's like AIM-92 Stinger . I am sure it is not intended to use against fighter jets. By the time a heli realizes a fighter is near it will be too late.. right?

Your WZ-10s, as all the other crappy cheap stuff you Chinese keep churning out, are all fakes and won't even last a minute in the sky! They'll all come crashing down like a sack of potatoes. :cheesy:

Why are the Chinese such retards? :undecided: And what are children doing on PDF? :what:

No source, no reason, no base, not logical, not reality, you are the right person who usually is called mad. Entertainment time is over, it is time to take medicine. Even 5 years old child talks more logically than you.

:smokin:
A2A capability, there is no thing for attack helis. You just need to put good A2A missile in heli & it will have A2A capability.
Even Mistral was tested in Rudra. Every heli have such capability APACHE,COBRA, even worst heli, its completely depend on users.

You are wasting your time with the 50 cent guys... One such asked me to prove that J15 is NOT a russian copy! They just go on and on... Because every post fetches 50 cents for them!

You know, we should start a 50 cent army of our own. Not to defend Indian policies online, but so that we can earn a lot of money! :P

We are not denying Longbow Apache is better than WZ10. The difference is we can make many WZ10 we need for say 500 pops, how many Apache can IAF afford to counter that number? We are developing new turbo shaft engine which enable same payload of Apache within the next 3 years. Rundra is in the samr class of Harbin Z9, not WZ10. 16 Apache score Zero
In front of 300 plus WZ10. Not to mention the numerous WZ19 and armed Z9.

PLA army ranks number 1 in the world, no one could rival it even USA.

Your reply started sensibly but then got sidetracked by jingoistic BS.

Indian military planners are (usually) smarter than you - if China ever mounts an invasion, they are not going to counter a Chinese force of 300(!) Z10s with 16 Apaches. Most likely such a scenario will be countered by ground-based (static + mobile) anti-air defences plus our own fast-movers (Migs, MKIs, Rafaels). And of course, even Chinese generals are not going to send their entire heli fleet to fight India in 1 battle.

Remember war IRL is not AOE2 - you cannot send out 50 Chu-ko-Nu Archers to fight my 25 Longbowmen. :D
