Oh sweet memories.. Off topic but in my Gen. Ed. classes I refused to use a word processor so I used to type my assignments in XEDIT on a mainframe because I didn't want to be seen working on a PC as it was an inferior machine for my stature. How times changed since then.In August 1988, less than a month after leaving UNISYS, I was a freelancer, and was hired to organise a seminar to introduce the successor to the S36 and S38 minis, a box they called the Silver Lake. So there I am, welcoming guests, and smiling cordially at all my installation managers from my Burroughs and Sperry sites, as they trooped in, grinning sheepishly.
