IAF Ouragan Captured by PAF

Only few familiar faces …Sir Murad K , can you please provide the names for each person in this picture ..

.
PQ Medhi EX COAS is the last person who fought both wars after that no COAS or VCOAS has been from that era. They all graduated in or after 1974.
Afghan heroes came .

what about mushaf mir? he certainly was a 71 war pilot

.
The KalaiKunda strike Led by Shabbir H Syed earned him and Tariq Habib each a SJ.The Squadron was given nickname Tail Choppers after the same mission. In KalaiKunda strike they destroyed 10 Canberra,Damaged 5 Canberra and 2 Hunters too.

In Bagdogra Strike(65) 14 Squadron destroyed 4 aircraft, damaged ATC building and hangar.

The Indian version

kalaikunda - 4 Canberras, 4 Vampires (still a very commendable total)
Bagdogra - 1 Vampire, 1 C-119 packet
barrackpore - 2 transport aircraft.

.
Sir its really a million dollar book, unfortunately its not given to all PAF officers...may be Service Book club has adequate funds....the book has everything related to Tail choppers.

I came across it last year in a friend's home....since then iam anxious to grab it...;)

Sir any idea 1965 and 83 the Grow Mustache Competion is narrated in the book?Sir Shabbir Syed Won the 1965 Grow Mustache Competion...but who was the winner in 1983 competiition?

:lol: I won the 1968 one, I can show my mustaches only but not the face;)
1983 I was in USA doing Air Command and Staff College but I know this the contenders were Javaid Latif, Musaf Mir( GBHS). I think Javaid won because after that there was a scoop on him the very next day he shaved his mustaches and every one said why did you do that and javaid said Yar my wife doesn't kiss me any more:lol:

.
I have searched the book on amazon and some other book seller sites but I dont find it. Perhaps its not on the open market. It would be nice if it can be scanned and brought into an electronic format (e-book).

Let me seel what can be done

Najam Nick names or airforce names given to you remain till the day you die, People often forget your name but when you take names like Arif Mota , or mansoor Bajlii, Shaquat Chibarr we all know who they are and yes they are nick names till today.
it was not Khatak AK but EX COAS Abbas Khatak who shot the plane.

Thats a rare picture. Sir I just want to know if F-104s were used for air displays even after retirement?

The article of Gp Capt Hali says that F-104 was put out of service in 1972. Many other references say the same thing. Perhaps it was not completely retired........

F-104s were grounded because you can't run a Sqd with 6 fighters, The fighters were given back to Jordan right after the war. So in 1972 they grounded.
