Featured IAF Mi-17-V5 Helicopter carrying CDS Bipin Rawat with family crashes

No. V5 is like a putting a 7 inch TFT stereo on a Ford Model T. They just put some computer on them, and modern nav/comms, that's all.
You think IAF will allow their chief of staff to use an obsolete and old helo for his usage? How many excuse you want to find for India?

Its like claiming US president airforce one B747 plane is obsolete. You think anybody will believe it?
Do you feel sorry for these guys or you enjoying their demise.
They reap what they sow.
What have you been smoking? You give figures on the number of Mi17 crashes yet fail to state that the Mi17 is the most common operated medium weight heli in the world. PLAAF/ RUAF/ PAF/ IRGAF/ ETC many air forces in the world operate thousands of Mi17s, there are bound to be crashes especially amongst 3rd world nations/decades older models, yet India literally has purchased BRAND NEW MI17s in the last few years....
He loves to defend all China enemies with his absurd excuse.

Whether he lives or dies is irrelevant. In either case he is out of the picture. He was raised to his current position for kowtowing to Modi and politicizing the IA. Finding a replacement will be challenging and it puts a spanner in Modi’s work.

This will become a headache for Indian military to investigate as to outcome of crash.

MI17 Shot down Gen. Bipen Rawat killed

Modi has just executed the CDS of the IA. Bipin was part of the planners of the fake Balakot strike; and Modi probably felt Bipin would snitch on him for reasons yet unknown. I feel like a coup is in order.
Even in enmity grace should be maintained. That was a good move. Don't need to copy Indians in everything.
Keeping silent was a good move.

Look dude I don't know what your issue is that you are always making such a fuss.
Best not to quote me.
A CDS sits in his office, he is not the one commanding the troops on the field.... Its the field commanders who give the instructions as they deem fit for the time or the day.

Bro, Hitler was the military head and he did not just sit in the office. COAS CDC etc have a big say how ground troops should handle situation. If orders are given to shoot civilians then the orders will be followed by the ground troops...

Brand new, or not brand new, it doesn't change the fact that the entire design is just a cosmetic makeup on top of fifties era engineering knowledge about helicopters. It's a first generation helicopter. Nowhere in the world anybody still makes an original first generation, but Russians.

Controls - hydromechanical. One leak = loss of control

Hydraulics, and oil in the rotor. Oil lossy operation by design. Loss of oil = rotor vibrating itself to pieces

Collective connected through friction clutch - you are always just one wear part away from the crash

Turbine oil/fuel governors - mechanical!

Oil cooler - no provision for any fail safety. Oil cooler failure = certain overheat

Single hydraulic system for everything = mission critical parts sitting in the same loop as, say, door ramp closers. It's one clogged oil filter away from the crash.

No oil levels/pressure indicators in critical systems. The only way to check is to land, and check it with a stick, or mono at check valve

No guard whatsoever against rotor stall.

None at all adverse yaw correction

Jahliyat on display by muslims saying RIP (a prayer/dua) for a killer of innocent Kashmiris .. no different than saying RIP for Hitler or Modi (whenever this scum dies).
Pakistani response should be as Beautiful Robin W puts it at 4:03 by the French

Agreed but sometimes like what happened in Nagsland, surely that wasn't exactly planned at the HQ or tying a Kashmiri man to the jeep ordered by highest command.... the Indian weekend warriors are known to do their misadventures. Anyways that is another topic.
