But my answer was to @kurup 's post "it will just remain a hypersonic missile". I just wanted him to know how dangerous a hypersonic missile could be.

My point was that most probably these systems will remain a missile and not a re-usable vehicle .

Why would the IAF require surface to surface missile?

Dont you know apart from launching and hitting on ground, missiles' most of its journey happens in air, so it should ideally be under Air force command which is now they are doing.

PAF has been integrating its stand-off weapons to its fighter fleet of JF-17 Thunders, Miraages, and upgrading its F-16s.

Hence creating a capability where PAF can launch strikes at enemies while being 100s of kms away from the target.

But to create a hypersonic missile one would need a powerful computer with a huge memory and also the ramjets and scarmjets as the article mentions.
