IAF fighter shoots down suspicious object in Rajasthan

Wonder why the bombs were armed, but the IAF shot down a weather balloon with instruments that might have been sent up for meteorological research by a civilian agency from Pakistan as the location is ideal for picking up weather patterns near the delta. It is good that the IAF shot it down because regardless of where it came from, it is a danger to civilian air traffic if not caught on time. A collision with an airliner flying at 500 kph is essentially death for the aircraft.

Not bad practice for the IAF though in terms of testing its response time.

Makes me realize the danger of unregulated civvie drones in the airspace.

Bomb:lol:

It was not a bomb but a sonic boom and remains of bullets from Su main gun :D.
Pathetic press

. . . . . . . .
Maybe it was another naughty trick of Jupiter disguised as a drone. Damn planets and pigeons keep messing with iaf...

. .
wow... very good iaf... it doesn't matter if it was hostile or not.. but damn good to see the vigilant

. .
It was a meteorological balloon and IAF just wasted money scrambling a jet :D

Money!!!!??? its defense, they don't care about money.. if something suspicious their task is to identify and destroy.. from the air pilots are not going to come very close and let it go after identifying. whatever foreign object comes uninvited then shoot the F down.. what i like is IAF's radar coverage, Vigilant and scrambling time
