IAF Chopper goes missing near India-China border

. .
Hoping against hope that there will be survivors...It was undertaking a noble mission...

Nothing is going terribly wrong with Indians, Losing jets and choppers is a routine thing for them.

This is a second case. Not long ago, a jet of Indian airforce went down, It went as missing as well, initially...Now this.....

I have a feeling that something going on terribly wrong for Indians and they are hell nervous...

Our establishment must be on high alert as well...Anything can happen anytime

What about it? it was a perfect take off to start with but then some mechanical fault caused loss of power. any blind person can see that chopper was struggling to gain height.

Really?
Then what about this PA aviation helicopter:

I think the ALH is flawed. Ecuador ordered 6 of them, 4 have crashed, the remaining two have been withdrawn from service and are now up for sale.
and you dont rule out sabotage by western vested interests?
in-spite of crashes we still are using at 20k feet? brave pilots?

An Indian Air Force helicopter with three people on board has gone missing near the country's border with China after taking off on a flood rescue mission, an official said Tuesday.

The Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) had taken off from Tezpur airbase in Assam around 4 p.m., the official told IANS. The helicopter was on a flood relief mission. It lost contact in Arunachal Pradesh state in India's remote northeast amid turbulent weather. Arunachal Pradesh as well as some other neighboring states have been reeling under heavy monsoon rains that have triggered landslides and floods.

"The ALH (Advanced Light Helicopter) had taken off from Tezpur airbase in Assam state around 4 pm (10:30 GMT)," he said, declining to be named.

Also on Tuesday, a Border Security Force (BSF) chopper carrying Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju had to make an emergency landing in a playground in Itanagar due to bad weather. Rijiju tweeted about the missing IAF helicopter.

"Weather is turbulent in North-East. I'm safe but the whole state machinery is geared up to locate IAF ALH chopper missing almost at same time," Rijiju said in a tweet.

Weather is not only turbulent in North East but also at somewhere else :D

Hope people on board are safe

the area is mountainous. it is the monsoon season.
Indian choppers are not equipped with the latest and greatest navigational aids.
It is to be expected

No mate..Those are Himalayan areas.Due to higher altitude & disturbance ALHs are only used. Now days weathers there are so bad. It's a story of every year due to it's geographical nature.

hmm...

Pakistani upbringing on full display.

There are floods and very bad weather. Helicopters are there to save people. A risky job in the weather. And these sub humans are in glee displaying their sordid family values. Scum.

I think the ALH is flawed. Ecuador ordered 6 of them, 4 have crashed, the remaining two have been withdrawn from service and are now up for sale.

No technical fault in the choppers. If they crashed it its their problem. ALH and variants are flying in the hundreds in the most difficult terrains everyday. Infact we will produce more than 800 of ALH and variants.

Can you tell me what technical flaw can exist in a modern machine that can not be identified and fixed?

Its the monsoon season in India.

The average rainfall in that region is around 3200 mm per year and most of it falls during July and August.

Not many helicopters in the world can operate in such climate and at such high altitude.

Hooooooo :O you must be a cohort of Satan. how dare you to put any doubt on Super Power India's chopper ???

:D :D

Since 2009, 8 Indian su-30mki has crashed or gone missing which proves Indian Air Force poorly maintaining its aircraft and when another su-30mki crashed recently near Chinese border than I thought it is another incident of poor management but now this chopper gone missing is a serious thing.

Why our establishment needs to be on high alert btw?
