IAF Chief "Embarrasing" because He is "Fat" :o

He must eat alot of makhan wali rooti and tandoori chicken
With that big pot luck belly he can't fit in Boeing let along the flankers

But good thing there are alot of buttons on the jacket to tighten up that thing
dude he's a chief of an airforce, he doesnt need to fit into any aircraft...
he has other people at his discretion who are capable to fly them...

.
Yes his brain and decision making capabilities matters most but he should also maintain his body and look.

.
When it comes to a time when he must fly to defend his country (don't be hopeful) and is in a desperate situation, he will eject out of the plane and land on a hostile fighter. The fuselage will snap in half as the killer weight will crush the metal

Well He Is not Intended to Fly either, You cant expect a Pilot of age 60 to withstand High G force, and Secondly His days as Pilot is Over, The Position he is In Needs Experience Not talent, There are many talented Youngsters to do the Piloting Part of the Job.... So Relax....

I was joking... it was just sarcasm.

Quite an absurd blog entry, he is at an age where you do not expect him to be stick thin and there is nothing wrong with him to begin with.

.
Hmm yes, it isn't necessary to be slim and trim at that age, god knows it is difficult what with the spicy oily food served at Air Force messes, and of course all that elbow-bending at fauji parties;)

True, slightly overweight doesnt mean unfit. Someone can appear to be fit, thin, toned or healthy, but not really be in good shape. Looking fit and being fit are two very different things. The inverse is also true: You can look unfit or overweight and still be in great physical condition.

I'm in powerlifting, and I can tell he is carrying lotsa muscles below visible fat layer. He is not obeese, no soft flab. I'm sure he can lift more wights, do more squats than 'fit' blogger. :bunny:

Blogger looks like Choosa hua aam, tobacco eater.

Fitness does matter but i am sure when he joined the airforce he must have been smart and this belly thing is thing of the age wise issue.

He AVM now and its natural

What i meant was that...at his post it doesnt matter that much...he is not supposed to fly jets now...he is supposed to sit in a A C room in a cozy chair and make stratergies and take decisions.

He has done the hardwork and proven the required fitness when it mattered.

Like many of you, I too was excited when the Indian Air Force conferred the rank of the Honorary Group Captain on the iconic cricketer Sachin Tendulkar Friday last. Although I have a poor opinion of the game and the way this nation wastes time on it, I have high regard for the man himself. To sustain oneself at that level for two decades, and still lead, is absolutely remarkable. While a lot of wannabes get a lot of recognition, in Sachin’s case, IAF’s recognition is well deserved.

As I said, IAF is something of pride for us Indians. Its achievement in the wars, even while using inferior machines, has been stuff folklores are made of. But if this particular event was to add to that image, it failed, and miserably so.

Just a look at the air chief, Air Chief Marshal P V Naik, as he shakes Sachin’s hands or smiles or does anything. Do these pictures not embarrass you? Pot belly that would shame even a hardened police constable in deep Uttar Pradesh is certainly not something that I, as an Indian, would feel proud of :hitwall: in the man entrusted with the task of managing my nation’s air force.

Such a stickler was he of fitness, which should be a given in the services, that none dared come close to him if he felt his belt was hanging below his waist. Can the current chief even hold that threat to his subordinates? He can’t.

I am sure he is a great strategist and must have been great shape physically too in his hey days, but there can be no excuse for the state he is now. He is in the services, after all, where physical fitness is looked upon as an asset. In the current state, he wouldn't inspire much confidence, especially among youngsters who may look up to him as a role model. :what::angry:

A fat and portly air chief is an embarrassment : India : Rajesh Kalra : TOI Blogs

And the author of this article is "Embarrasing" because He is "a moron" :chilli:

IAF chief's are chosen on competence, not girth

.
So what. Our air chief is a bit thin. It doesn't make any difference.
:disagree:

.
