IAF and Navy to Purchase more Dornier Aircraft : AK Antony

Is it possible to fit the SuperVision SV-2000 and ExtraVision XV-2004 SAR/ISAR radars on Dornier?
Or better still, do they already have them?

Both radars are developed by LRDE.

I think we should put these radars, some other surveillance equipment to convert Saras into a maritime
patrol aircraft.

Hal already makes and sells a maritime version of Do 228. It has 3600 surveilance radar, flir, side looking radars, 2 7.62mm guns and 4 hardpoints with 1 ton+ capability.

.
We should give the Mahindra-GippsAerospace, GA18 a chance. It is pretty close to Do 228 in stats.

That would mean adding a new type => new logistics and training => longer time for induction, while adding new Do 228 will be a cost-effective and simple stopgap solution until Saras will be available. Not to forget that the Do 228 NG still gets export orders and as long as HAL is producing parts of it, it will benefit from exports as well.

.
Hal has worldwide marketing rights for Dornier Do 228. Considering GmbH,the original makers no longer makes it,HAL has great opportunity here.

That's not correct, Swiss RUAG has the marketing rights, HAL is a production partner:

What actually happens is that HAL makes all the structural parts and ships them to Dornier Gmbh. Then Dornier gets the turbo-props from Garrett (the OEM) and puts the a/c together. That is what was done for the Dorniers sold to BD.
