It is because of India that BD is not more developed now.

Think why would a country like BD, located in a relatively peaceful region and with one major ethnic group, have so many political problems. India does not want BD to get too strong for it's own interests. But the Indians cannot destroy BD's economy openly as it would destroy their influence in the country for good.

India wants to dominate all South Asia just as Russia seeks to dominate Eastern Europe, etc.

India will never want small countries like Bangladesh to be powerhouses economically or militarily. It will always seek to weaken them either by internal poltiical discord, economic terrorism, or man made disasters such as flooding.

All countries who border India have bad relations with India.

India and Indians think they are a super-power but they are not and far from it. But its already acting like it on the world stage.

The best way to rub India's noses is to pursue an indenepdent foreign policy, have strong relations with India's enemies (Pakistan, China), work on domestic products instead of importing goods from India and develop your own entertainment industry instead of relying on Bollywood.

And not only that Pakistan, Bangladesh and other South Asian countries should from a NATO type alliance where they can come and help each other.

India needs to realize, if it messes with Bangladesh is equivalent to messing with Pakistan, etc.

Why forget this it's the international norms or statistical parameters which shows country progress it is all adopted by all agencies throughout the world and agencies like IMF & world bank take there measures according tothis data which clearly indicate living condition of people in the countries around the world.
And this data clearly indicates that india is much head of pakistan in very economic parameters or indicators it's fact take it or leave it.

I think the one bit of good news coming out of BD now is the economy.

Indians dare not openly try to wreck the BD economy as that would destroy their Awami League friends in power and means their influence over BD is over for good.

BD people are mainly anti-India and there is hope that we will get more independent minded government in the future and we can slowly transition to allying with Pakistan in order to contain this menace in South Asia.

BD should wish for an economically and military strong Pakistan and vice-versa.

I think both Pakistan and Bangladesh should form some sort of economic and military partnership. Each other helps in whatever sector each is weak in.

I know about international norms. But these stats can be exaggerated by the 1% in India. Take a look at Mumbais per capita. $18000 dollars. Do you really think common man earns 18000 annum in Mumbai? Lol.

I've been to both countries I know which is doing better. Pakistan doesn't have rate of open defecation or poverty as India does NO DOUBT
