I Want to Join Pak Army at any cost....

Salam everyone. I am a Dental Surgeon(BDS), aged 24 1/2 yrs, completed my House Job. I want to join Pak Army (or any Armed Forces) as Dentist. I had a great ambition to be a part of Army, but due to Family pressure I couldn't even give the test of PMA Long Course, and then studied just BDS.

I am so much inclined towards Army that even at this stage, if I am offered to join as 2nd Lieutenant thru Long Course or Graduate Course, I can readily forget my status as a Doctor and join the Forces. I dont care about Money or Social status, etc. Being a part of Armed Forces is the Purpose of My Life.

Kindly guide me how can I be the part of Army as Dentist, and when the vacancies of Army Dental Corps (Male) are going to be announced, and what about the Dentist vacancies in PAF and Navy?

Bcoz I went to apply for 132 Long Course and they told me that I am 5 months overage....

If Any way to overcome this problem, I am ready to go for Long Course....

Brother, you failed understandably because you are weak in spellings...


It is Education Corps and not Education core

The PA must surely have a Dental Corps, why dont you join as a Doc . Put your education to good use.

Gain experience at Govt expense .

same was my dream regarding air force , wish u best of luck dear , but u must have courage and tolerance enough for accepting will of the GOD , if things don't come up to your expectations then don't loose your heart , rather prove yourself any other field ..

I also even if they offered me to join as 2nd lieutenant . surely i will even though m doing MS. i couldnt clear CMB last time. i passed all initial and other tests. they asked me u have veyr little minor issue if you know any one at air commodore level hopefully you can join as a cadet in PAF school sargodha. that was my and is my dream to join.

From my understanding a medical doctor automatically gets the rank of Captain (I have a doctor in the family who joined the military and I'm pretty sure that's where he started).

However, I am not sure if Pakistani Army offers the same rank to Dentists.

You can join the Army as a Dentist, just keep on visiting https://www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk/ and look for vacancies in Short Service Regular Commission. i cant tell when hey will open up, the only way to know is to keep an eye on Sunday newspapers, alternatively the website is there to help.

I think they do give age exemption to highly qualified people. Go talk to someone at key post in recruiting, just don't take the word of a captain at recruitment center.

Thanks. But can't you tell me how much time they announce such vacancies? As PMA Long Course is announced twice a year, so may be dentist commission announced after 1 year, 2 year, 3 year, etc... Isn't it constant?
