US has to change the 14th amendment foreigners, illegals, tourists, etc all are exploiting this loophole. It's not just Chinese women, it's Russian women, and of course all those illegal Latinos.

This November when GOP takes back the Senate, and hopefully in 2016 takes the WH we will see strong action taken against illegals and a revision in the 14th amendment stopping this citizenship by birthright law.

There are people all over the world that want to marry and move somewhere else. Individual anecdotes aren't very useful, total number tell a more useful story, if you are trying to understand the flow of people. If you know of solid numbers, I would love to see them. The best I could find was Top 10 Facts About Mail-Order Brides - Listverse which seems somewhat balance re: whys, advantages/disadvantages, problems, etc. The article does claim that Russia has 8 men for every 10 women, so that would suggest that Russia has a net outflow of women (typically, the women are going to move to be with the man, I assume).

yeah, repost of I Want an American Baby! Chinese Women Flock to the U.S. to Give Birth Read more: Birth Tourism: Ch

I only know because it's in the link list below.

People from all over do it, not just Chinese. Devyani Khobragade apparently got her kids US citizenship. Humorously, India was not offended by her mistreating her maid, or breaking US laws (or Indian laws before that), but getting her kids US citizenship was too much.

BTW, the term in the US is "anchor baby". Its more commonly used as a way to get the parents permission to stay in the US.

Why did you drag India name in to it ?

Rich Chinese attitude is too bad.PRC hardwork for uplifting crores of people is now going in vain.

the article doesnt say anything about it only russian women coming to america to get their children us citizenship and then leaving probably anyways. And your american women have an outflow for BBC how about you search for that statistics.

n, the immigration attorney, said his firm has represented pregnant women from countries, including Pakistan and China, who wanted to give birth in Houston.
Birth tourism: Foreigners having babies in US so kids can get US passports

why not mentioning your own people first before talking about others ??

Apparently this BoQ77 guy is so obsessed with and scared of China that he scours the internet to post articles that might possibly show China in a bad light. Even if the articles are years old and have been posted before. It must be terrible living a life where every waking moment is defined by a fear of large neighbor that's slowly taking back the South China Sea - a neighbor that you can't do anything about and that doesn't even know you exist. Sad. :undecided:

The topic kind of expanded to include women moving overseas via marriage, as it is believed by some to be a similar phenomenon - a way of getting citizenship in another country.

I've seen some BBC articles, but never hard numbers. I assume you mean stuff like 5 Reasons for a Brit to Marry an American | Mind The Gap | BBC America or Five Things American Women Should Know About British Men | Mind The Gap | BBC America or Why American women are sexier than British girls - by a man who knows | Life and style | The Guardian

All anecdotal, "this is my story" kinds of stuff. I'd like to see the the actual number of women entering and leaving each country as brides/grooms, and numbers for women giving birth to anchor babies. If its one person, and the media is blowing it up to a crisis, that would be good to know. If it's millions, and everyone is downplaying it to just a few, that would be good to know too. When its just people telling stories, that doesn't help you understand the scope of the issue.

For a guy who's living in another country himself, you're super sensitive about this. I don't care. If an American woman likes English men, go! Marry the guy, live in England, more power to you! But, objectively, I suspect the US is a net importer of brides, and Russia is a net exporter. I think it is an interesting curiosity, but not particularly significant (for the US at least). I think it is a symptom of Russia's vast alcohol problem, and that Russian men die very young compared to other developed countries, but that is Russia's thing to deal with.

Even if GOP takes total control they will not touch the 14th amendment. Under Bush at one point they controlled both the House and the Senate along with obviously the Presidency but they left it alone anyway so what makes you think there will be any difference in the future?

There's mounting pressure, back then GOP top issue was war on terror, but now it's the borders. I may be wrong but I'm hearing a lot of GOP politicians talking about the illegal immigration influx and the pressure inside the GOP from the Tea Party is also growing. Also GOP understands the more of these Latino illegals come into the US and settle down and have children their children are likely to vote Democrat upsetting the balance in several red states including Texas. Even Eric Cantor was voted out sending GOP establishment a clear message on what to do about the illegals.
