I stand with the people of Ukraine

There has been so much discussion about the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Geopolitical, Geostrategic, Geo-economics and so on, but as usual, the average citizen gets pushed into the background in all the furore about who’s right and who’s wrong.

The great powers play games far larger then we care to understand, we think one thing and a decade later new truths come forward, so time will decide the counterfactuals of each and every argument

If Putin had invaded just the Donbas region, I wouldn’t have batted an eyelid, they are all Russian, so non of my business, so it doesn’t concern me. But to launch a full invasion of Ukraine is rather extreme, a step that will result in massive sufferings of the people that could and should have been avoided.

SO, politics aside, let's please spend a moment to think about the average citizen, the families that will suffer.
Already there has been racist reporting by white/western reporters, but we shouldn't allow that to colour our judgements, and remember that we are all human.

SO, I stand with the people of Ukraine, and I do hope everyone wishes that they won't suffer too much, and recover from this situation very soon.

I really feel for the average citizen in Ukraine.
Putin should not have invaded.

BUT,
Ukraine should really have thought about the consequences of trying to ally themselves with NATO.
The leader of Ukraine arrested the head of the other political parties and shut down TV stations who were critical of him.
He's best mates with Israel and has dual Israeli citizenship ( because he's a Jew).
He has a massive amount of support from the western media and establishment for some reason.
He may be a Jew, but he allied himself with Neo-nazis and fascists who make Hinduvita crowd look tame.

My heart goes out to people of Ukraine, but their leader is a clown ( and a terrible comedian ).
Also the hypocrisy of all this sickens me. The way the western media had gone into propaganda overdrive has also made me wary.
It's bad for Russia to attack yet they fully supported Israel attacking every neighbour and was Ok for western nations to attack Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya and make no mistake about it, they would cheer on any attack on Pakistan.
Ukraine sent troops for the Iraq war, Karma is a bitch.
We should support Putin and milk it for what we can.

I am not defending Putin but if he just invaded Donbas, Ukraine would've attacked back, so, strategically, it makes sense to invade all of it, to make it harder for Ukraine to do a counterattack.

The Donbas conflict has been going on for many years, and they are essentially Russian people. Ukraine has no capacity to hit back, no chance.
I can see why Putin did it, but I do think he had other options. By invading the entire country, a much bigger humanitarian crises has been created, and it could have been avoided.

Let's say if he had gone into Donbas, offered negotiations or else, then he would have had better justifications for a large scale attack. There was no way anyone would have gotten involved, but he would have had a justification for expanding the conflict.

His biggest enemy is that people are in total shock, no one expected this to happen, and that has played against him, people were expecting him to invade Donbas. That would have been a smarter move. And, perhaps created space for serious negotiations. But it's all conjecture now, just if's and but's. I just hope the people of Ukraine won't suffer too much, there is too much suffering already.

not everyone can be neutral. Switzerland is (was) neutral thanks to its geography. Ukraine is just flat land with no defensible borders. it was made as an administrative region during the soviet era, it was not made to be as an independent nation.

For all those cheering Russia on right now, I have a question for you, would you cheer India if they invade Pakistan?
Because it's the same situation really, same we r sem to sem logic used by russia is used by india. But the people of both Ukraine and Pakistan want nothing to do with Russia and India respectively, and that's the only thing that matters. If the Ukrainians want to be separate, they have the right to be just like we do.

The situation cant apply to us as we are a nuclear state. Also we never were indians. Unlike Ukrainians who had a russian past.
Furthermore when india tried to cross our international borders in 2019 US in on record calling it Indias right to defend itself. When the situation turned against india the same US turned neutral.

I have no problem with Russia just annexing Donbas and Luhansk just like I have no problem with Pakistan just annexing Kashmirkashmir isba disputed territory as per UN whereas .. there is an international border between lohansk,donmbas and russia.

Kashmir is a disputed territory as per UN whereas Ukranian regions are integral part of ukrain. .. there is an international border between lohansk,donmbas and russia unlike that between kashmirs

I am really confused in this case. On one side we have USA et al(Europe) continuously teasing harassing and blackmailing Russia.
On the other hand, we have Russia crushing the bones of Ukraine who wanted to join the gang but is totally innocent at the moment.

I am undecided whether to support Russia or Ukraine.

Or I rather better be neutral?
