I'm sorry - the commercial in a generic sense of standing up against radical islam is good but as an endorsement of NRA is just plain bad. I think there is a very strong case for gun control in america. You're bleeding and NRA is trying to dumb down the arguments by associating itself with these causes. Last time I checked more people died in mass shootings in america than in shooting down islamic terrorists.

Here's a problem. Black males between 16 and 60 are about 5% of the population yet they commit about 60% of the homicides in the U.S. Any ideas' ? Ban them ? Criminals always get guns. Dis-arming the good is stupid. What the leftist media doesn't report is that legally owned firearms prevent around 2 million crimes a year in the U.S. But work on that 'black thing' for us first, Guy....

I do not disagree with the stats, I think it is a reflection of socio-economics. But yes- disarming everyone, including the good, is the right solution. India has a lot of violence but zero mass shootings- just imagine if we let guns proliferate? Ok don't consider India- look at countries culturally closer to yours like Australia where mass shootings dropped to ZERO. I don't understand how letting assault weapons proliferate, for instance, will help security.

Someone outside your country, like me, finds it disturbingly strange that so many school shootings happen.

lol, Mass shooting in Australia did not drop to zero after the Gun Control banned from Port Arthur Massacre.

There are quite a few mass shooting (kill or wounded >5) after the port Arthur in 1986 They are

2002 Monash University Shooting (2 Killed, 5 wounded)
2011 Hectorfield Siege (3 Killed 3 Wounded)
2012 Hunt Family shooting (5 Killed)

and some more high profile shooting that have less than 5 casualty (the more famous Lindt Café Siege is one of them). The Gun Crime is at 15,000 per 21 millions for the year of 2014, which is 80% of US shooting per capita in the same year Which is about 200,000 per 310 millions population in 2014.

Thats a good thing rt? It will be easy to identify outlaws and throw them into the jail. Problem is not with guns but with ppl. However good ppl may be they will lose their temper once in a while and that might prove fatal. Unlike knife where some force is required , gun needs simply a slight pull on the trigger and we know the consequences where guns have been accidentally discharged by children/pets. If ppl are interested in guns let them use it in a restricted area with enuf security no issues.

Second amendment which allows gun ownership was passed in 1791, solely based on circumstances prevailing at that point of time typically wild west where security of citizen could not be guaranteed by the state. Things have changed now ,the archaic law no longer holds good and instead of repealing it ppl are perpetuating it.
