When i joined PDF, i wrote this thread under the impression that the 'youth' on both sides might be different from their elders who had the traumatic memories of the partition alive in their memories.

After spending 4 years and having moderated for a good long period, i can safely say that i was mistaken and wrong. The ancient hatreds unfortunately are still alive, well and thriving. Hindu nationalists want a govt that they think is right for India but its wrong for Pakistan India future of peace talks. Similarly when our leadership talks peace, many of us see it as a negative omin.

What can we do, apart from living inside this region with the bitter indifference?

Mr Moderator....i appreciate your honesty in speaking the truth......Our indifference is too much deep rooted...Unfortunately it will take some generation to pacify....But sometimes....if you get sometime ...think about Hindu people in particular...(Not about India i am talking about)....Histroy will tell us that it is the Hindu people and culture that has to bear with maximum onslaught in the history of Hindustan in last 500 years....So we are always been attacked...lost...aggrieved...demonized....(The reason can be many too)...And think about from a neutral point of view, when any culture will be demonized,defeated and aggrieved for such a long time in history, then reaction will be still there for generation to come....We may try to pacify it but it is difficult to forget it too....Again that does not mean, we will take revenge of the history...but that does not rule out the possibility that we will not take a soft line of intolerance to the people who has aggrieved us in our histroy too...

And we are going through such phases now.....when this phase will complete no one knows about it...But at least i hope to see one day that we learn to live together...

i have read so many emotional stories and there are tragic incidents on both sides and personally i think we can never be together because, for a person in Pakistan whose sisters, mothers, doughtier or wives were picked up and molested in thousands at time of partition, i think he got the right to kill some Indians in retaliation to it and i don't think he would ever want to be friends with those people who did this to him, in short whatever you say, till Kashmir issue persists there will be no peace and Kashmir issue cannot be solved with talks and thus I THINK that there can be no peace

I really dint like you before cause you were very anti Indian. But now I see why and honestly i dunno why but I am feeling really bad. Lives were lost on both sides. What a tragic incident.

I m not anti-Indians, but I play and reply according to the standards of pdf. I have no bad feelings for anyone from across the border, but that is not appeasement, as neighbourers we should learn to live together and find mutual grounds to stand on, for the welfare of the people. if anything bad has happened, it should not be the cause of hatred, the objective of Peace must not be victim of our differences.. and I am sure most of the indians, especially english speaking have the same feelings..

Sure, there are fucktartds on our side as well as you can see some of them are here too. Hatred is not gonna give us anything. I am a south Indian but I still see Pakistanis as brothers [other than the radical mullah ones i hate them even the radical hindu ones damn]. I hope all the ones who hate each other are put on an island and kill each other. and the remaining people on both sides can live in peace.

How can those people implement Sharia who are its biggest deniers and who mock at its very essence?? Chanting the name of "Sharia" is one thing and it might prove successful in creating a false image that Islam is the motivation but we obviously know better. If growing a big beard and wearing a turban are the only essentials of Islam then they know all about it but fortunately its not. I think if the devils can cite scripture for their own politically motivated agendas then its not a big thing that they can use anything else.

India has been a hostile state towards Pakistan, and Indians quite honestly are obsessed with Pakistan for some reason, like stalking rapists. I have seen some Indians on t.v who's idea of "better" relation with Pakistan is to get in bed with it. I guess, India must be into some hardcore BDSM fetish, because in either case, they want to damage and harm Pakistan.

There are 50 + Muslim states, we get along well with them, but non of us want to get in bed with each other. Often state to state level relation are kept according to interest, while, at individual citizen level, people can love, hate, be friends, or marry each other as they wish.


Indians have a bizarre perspective towards Pakistan, which is quite distorted and delusional.
