What's new

I hate my girlfriend, because i love my car.

. .
The CD175 and the later CD185 and CD200 Roadmasters were simply awesome bikes, and are regarded as desirable classics to this day.

no the CD200 rode like crap and sounded like crap; but they looked pretty bold for their era

even came with electric starter, which in those days was a novelty

p.s. all personal opinion of course

.
package i was waiting for finally arrived.....DDM Tuning high intensity discharge xenon lights for my Ninja 636.

installed them yesterday after work

I am only joking, but I bet right now you would not turn down even the CD200 to ride. :D

my buddy bought new tires for his CBR600RR 2 days ago.....he called me and said to come over.

he knows how depressed I am, so he let me do a massive burnout on the old tires

but yeah, it sucks not having a bike.....shyte is extremely addictive

and here's the real teaser....the real mind f*ck :

saw this for sale on Craigslist. CARBON COPY of my bike, though its one year older (with less miles) and it has the Power Commander and a few other modifications

too bad i dont have the cash at hand....

Riding is addictive for sure. That is a great deal on the 636. I am sure you will get your fiances sorted out soon enough. Getting back in the saddle will only be more fun once you do.

Yeah buddy---It was a 1977 Honda CD175---more like 35 years---in multan---. It was recovered after a year or so---.

A C175 ! My Dad had one of those since his time back in FC College and later KE ! He had it in the summers of '94 too before he eventually disposed it off the following year; the reason I remember it so clearly is that I, as a 4 year old, got burnt by its silencer and the patch on my leg where it came into contact with the skin is as hair-less as it was 18 years ago !

But nice bike...really nice bike ! My Dad still has very fond memories of it with him and his buddies leaving Mayo Hospital and going to Gawal Mundi for Nihari or Lakshmi for some Falouda !

.

You still got it recovered after a year???? That is a miracle of the Lord Himself.

Nowadays, if a car or bike gets stolen, it is being stripped at Bhau mohalla in one hour, and is present in Gujjar Khan or Gujranwala by 3. Talking of upper Punjab of course.

My friend had a very interesting encounter with a theft case once, but it is a long story.

So armstrong, here is what happened.

It was around 98 or 99, my friend had his corolla car stolen from karachi. He had a brother in the intelligence circles (military man). My friend went to his brother to talk about the issue. THe brother took him to the police station. THe local police officer had some previous affiliation wit the intelligence guy, and so what he said was ' sir, police inquiry karanay ka koi fayda nhn, aap police ko chorain, main aap ko seedha chor se milwata hun'. ANd so it happened, in some hours, a thief was brought in (police obviously knew about him). The thief was told about the car number plate and chassis number etc etc. After some phone calls back to base, the thief then gave my friend a lowdown of the situation. ' sir ji, aap ki gari kuch ghantay pehlay flan flan muhallay main thi, wahan us ki number plate nikal gayi thi. ab woh gari flan flan warehouse main hai, aur us kay darwazay aur bonnet utar chukay hain. baki body thori der main ho jaye gi, aur phir engine ka kaam hoga.' . Because the police officer was obviously well familiar with the thief gang, he arranged the recovery of the car and some money was paid to the thief. And so, the car was recovered (all the doors and everything was put back into place).. These kind of things happen in this country!!!

Now, you guess to whom the warehouse belonged to? It was Pir Pagara's warehouse. Somewhere in interior Sindh, this whole organized crime was being handled by Pir Pagara and his cronies.
