No need to post these threads everyday to incite flame. I can conclude India's problems in a few sentences:

1. Massive trade deficit
2. Weakened currency due to lack of faith by investors
3. Export slow down due to external environment (US/EU in recession)
4. Debt funded spending spree causing concerns amongst investors
5. Inefficient political system unable to adapt due to bickering

These problems are all related to one another. You can't tackle one without taking them all on at the same time. I'll leave it at that.

The Indians already have answers to all these:

1. Massive trade deficit -- it will devalue Rupee and sell more, laws of supply and demand. We are happy with that.

2. Weakened currency due to lack of faith by investors – will enhance export. We are happy with that.

3. Export slow down due to external environment (US/EU in recession) – increase the ratio of internal demand is good. Unlike China vee Indians talk about domestic consumption. We are happy with that.

4. Debt funded spending spree causing concerns amongst investors –so our Indian industry will be kept in the hands of Indians instead of foreigners, unlike China. We are happy with that.

5. Inefficient political system unable to adapt due to bickering – unlike your Chinese golden cage. Democracy will eventually win over authoritarianism. We are happy with that.

How many years have you guys been singing and dancing about the collapse of the Chinese economy? From ghost cities to Jasmine revolutions, from food inflation to excess dependence on exports, from real estate bubbles to lack of transparency...

Now it turns out, that it is INDIA is the one who is getting their credit rating downgraded to "junk", with collapsing growth rates, and massive fiscal/budget/trade deficits.

I got an infraction today for mocking at the Taliban and their supporters but no actions will be taken at the above posts written by the above posters. Not that they are only doing it today . This is an everyday thing yet no action is ever taken .

This was a good thread to objectively discuss the Indian economy but look where it has gone thanks to the trollers . I am leaving this forum for good and would request other Indian members to do the same . That is the only logical option considering the blatantly biased and prejudiced attitude of the moderators here towards Indians .Some may disagree with me though and they are entitled to their opinon.
