There is a doctor in the Southern Indian state of Karnataka by name Shankare Gowda who charges only five rupees from the patients to his clinic because many of his patients are laborers and farmers who cannot afford the minimum 100 rupees that other doctors charge. Dr. Shankare Gowda for five rupees does consultation and prescription. If he has injection available with him he includes that too. People tell him to take what other doctors do but he is adamant to understand the real situation in India and put his everyday into it. Dr. Shankare would be real happy to serve in an India where money has been abolished so that people don't suffer of illness just because they don't have the money - money being an artificial construct - to avail of healthcare. Or he would at least be happy to be in an India where at least healthcare and education ( medical education included ) have been made free for all the participants.
The person who was the co-founder with me of our computing company in 2005 went to USA after our company dissolved and he later told me that in USA a tetanus injection will cost the equivalent of 7000 Indian rupees and this payment is compulsory whether in form of cash right up or as insurance or as bank loan. There are so many Americans who cannot afford healthcare and suffer for years or go bankrupt and then suffer in additional forms. There was a PDF thread maybe last year about a Pakistan-origin doctor in USA who owned a cancer hospital waiving the fees of many of his patients because they just went bankrupt in paying for the treatment. There are about 70,000 homeless people in Los Angeles, home city of Hollywood, the richest film industry in the world and a mostly nonsense film industry. Thousands of these homeless people will have health issues and they can't get those treated because they don't have proper homes and food and clothing let alone healthcare in a country where the government spends 700+ billion dollars as the military budget just for 2020-21 to invade and overthrow progressive societies far far away but won't spend on its own citizens :
Why does this suffering need to exist ? It is artificial, human-made, not from Nature. A person is neither born with his father's name stenciled on his forehead nor his socio-economic future. His socio-economic poverty and the sufferings are not of his own making but of the political system which allows a few people - the 1 percent as said by the Occupy Wall Street movement of 2011 - to be able to obtain any goods and services from anywhere in the world but the rest cannot have access to anything without sacrificing so many things in their daily life just to obtain basic services like healthcare or not get healthcare at all and die in suffering. My late father during his last months of Alzheimer's and dementia and the associated complications was in a comfortable hospital because there was insurance paid from his account and of my brothers. If my family didn't have the money the same hospital's owners would have told us to take my father to the footpath outside and he could die there. But you know, when he was good before this me and him used to talk about the great Socialist leader Jamal Abdul Nasser, about the Mars One programme, his bank's workers union and such. We spoke about progressiveness and human ambition, things that weren't present in India not because Nature has deprived us of those but because of the irrationality of the political system here.

There was a wonderful tweet by a Sri Lankan during the Sri Lanka crisis some months ago. The tweet was shown on the now-defunct wonderful programme on NDTV called Prime Time with Ravish. The tweet said that often two working class people fight with each other and it is the upper class people who benefit from that fight.
