Are you sure ? My understanding is that the girls real parents are dead. They were killed over some property dispute and that property now went to that girl victim.

She was adopted by the parents brother in law. Her two "brothers" (actual kids of this man) goes to school while she is kept out of school and made to graze the cattle.
