On topic..If those laws are in place and such units do exists (apart from CBI), then clearly they are ineffective. I must agree with certain observations on the news last night that certain organisations are making the rape issues a political issue. However, the problem still exists. And going by your claim that the accuseds in the Kathua case are innocent, and assuming even that Muslims committed the crime, do you still disagree that outrageous forms of rape and molestation of women is on the rise in India?

Yes, certain organisations are making the rape events political issues. This applies to both sides. The Congress could have handled it differently; they chose to make a selective exhibition of upright indignation. The BJP was completely lost to shame, and sought to show it as an inherent Hindu-Muslim conflict; it is, one instigated wholly by the Hindus.

Those are references to Kathua. What happened at Unnao was worse. There a rape victim was threatened with further violence; the police were made to pick up her father and beat him to death. There was no cause other than perversion. There was no political issue, at first. It was made political, because the Chief Minister of the state chose to take sides, for the rapist and his gang including his brothers, and was clearly seen to be protecting these animals. That made it transform from a particularly ugly abuse of power and authority into a particularly ugly abuse of political power and politician-derived authority.

How about the lack of ANY forensic report that show there was any rape ?

This is a one year old video of the victim of Unnao rape victim who had claimed that she was SOLD by her family for 60,000 Rs and was pushed into prostitution.

She was already caught by the police for prostitution.

The male members of her family are despicable cads who profited off by selling his own daughter. In fact the family members of this "victim" are accused in the village for kidnapping and selling girls from the village for money.

In fact, one of the Elder brother of this girls father was beaten to death by the same villagers.
