well cow slaughter was banned in JK and other states before Modi came to power... may be not your state(maharastra?).. but you should have seen that coming.. as a commited foodie.. you should have known the priority when you vote.
anyway election is not too far.. in the mean time just hop on a plane and go to bd .. plenty of cow beef.. or search around in your neighborhood.. i cant believe some enterprising Indians wont smuggle the banned substance there... just pay market price...

Pork in Islam is prohibited . Not related to religious sentiments. Similarly Chicken and Mutton (Non Veg) are prohibited in some Hinduism sects, they don't protest if others consume the same.

Where as Cow is holy in Hinduism.

I will give a similar analogy

- I bought a pen, I bought a paper, I draw image of Prophet Mohammad, I share on my facebook/ Twitter wall or enlarge image and past it on my House wall outside, will it offend Muslims ???
