India will not withdraw because India's peacetime positions are much further from border deep inside our territory except kashmir. India will not withdraw from kashmir whatever song and dance you do, so basically no effort on us, unless you take us onboard.

There is no demilitarization to be done from Indian side. India has holding corps/pivot corps on border with Pakistan except in Kashmir where we have offensive elements.

The strike corps are based in Central India - the teeth of the Indian Army.

What benefit would it yield us?
The only thing India is concerned about is Pakistan launching jihadis into Kashmir and smuggling from the rest of the border. Its not exactly a secret that India/Army is not worried about a Pakistani invasion.

Stop the damn jihadi infrastructure and you can raise another 5 battalions on the Indo-Pak border for all that India cares about.
