What's new

Hypothetical Indian Cabinet

I accept only numbers 5, 6 and 7. The others are either mindless Pakistan haters or irrationals or insurance salesmen.

In addition I propose Shehla Rashid, Jignesh Mevani, Chandrashekhar Azad, Akhilesh Yadav, Umar Khalid, Kanhaiya Kumar, Rahul, Priyanka and other such rational or reasonably sensible people. Distribute them among the should-be-set-up General People's Congress ( a true national level people's parliament ), Foreign Relations Committee, Socio-economics and Welfare Committee, Defence Committee, Society Guidance Committee and other committees at national level. Below the GPC will be district level Regional People's Congress and neighborhood level Basic People's Congress. If such a true democracy / direct democracy system is not set up there is no point in imagining your exercise. :) For reference this post of mine and follow the links too.

Ha ha.

No to Rahul, Priyanka and Akhilesh. We have had enough of these people.

I don't agree that others in my list are mindless Pakistan haters. Many times people say things because of the company they are in. In a more sensible dispensation they may act differently. Secondly the new cabinet need not be Pakistan lovers. We just need people who aren't antagonistic all the time, because this affects Indian muslims also as collateral damage.

Your list of young turks is accepted for now but their ability to work cohesively as a team needs to be checked. After all once you are part of government you can't be protesting. Some compromises will inevitably be required and they should have maturity to accept them.

About Rahul, you may not have watched his speech in the parliament I think a month ago. He said a few sensible things including 1947 having left the idea of kings ruling in India but now Modi becoming a king. He also spoke of one issue I forgot and a BJP chap trying to shut him up by quoting a parliament rule book technicality. Priyanka has done good work in recent years including making great effort in the Hathras gangrape and murder case. She is a good political worker and a sensible talker. I have watched some of Akhilesh's talks during the election rallies and in a lenghty interview on ABP in a park abutting the Gomti river, he seems a sensible person.

By mindless Pakistan hater I was referring to Amrinder. It was this element of him that pushed him into allying with BJP. He could have joined AAP or Trinamool or perhaps the Communists but he joined the BJP. I only want a person who desires peace with Pakistan and in all of South Asia and the world. Someone progressive.

Thanks for the acceptance. About them working together, well, they are activists and have spent years in thinking and working for the real welfare of the entire society. About them protesting that is why I wrote of the inclusion of a Society Guidance Committee which will be a watchcat to look at how the leaders and the masses are going and if they have grievances that they are not able to resolve through the direct democracy system.

Modi can talk, he can talk 24 hours without interruption.

Modi can talk for 27 hours a day but that talk is nonsense and he addresses his audience like he is a kindergarten teacher. Here he is trying to convince a Chinese delegation by being "philosophical" using the spelling of STRENGTH but missing the spelling by a light year. :D

@DrJekyll, I checked my alerts list and did not find your tagging of me in the OP. Maybe the others you tagged also didn't receive alert so please tag them again.

I am still not able to understand, how come this idiot MF S. Jaishankar is external affair minister. Zero achievements so far.
Not able to negotiate. Open confrontation with China and Galwan clash happened due to him. Later Doval and Military negotiated with china, situation is under control. He can't maintain relationship even with Nepal, Bhutan. First time some anti India sentiment in those countries. QUAD is just tea, biscuit meeting.

I thought about including Nirmala Sitharaman
The wisest fool in Hindustan.

Select Modi, no brainer.
That is fair. One would have to be short one brain to select Modi.

I hope Indians won't complain instability, and immaturity of the new government.
Of course we will.

That's what democracy is all about.

Modi can talk, he can talk 24 hours without interruption.
That is a disqualification. The PM must be able to think for a minimum of ten minutes a day.

He is awkward and not eloquent at all.
The moments when he tries to crack jokes in the presence of foreigners......

Shehla Rashid, Jignesh Mevani, Chandrashekhar Azad, Akhilesh Yadav, Umar Khalid, Kanhaiya Kumar,
So far, so good.

Conversely, if they are included, they should be allowed to work.

Not good enough.

Should be banned for life, along with every member of the RSS and the Hindu Mahasabha, and their front organisations, pending passing of criminal legislation with retrospective effect to send them to jail.

I agee, but that 199 against the BJP juggernaut is unforgivable.

He cannot tip the entire cabinet into Pakistan-hating. Let him be.

ogi as PM
Swamy as foreign minister
Sadhguru for relgious/minority affairs
This sort of recommendation could mean war.

I am still not able to understand, how come this idiot MF S. Jaishankar is external affair minister. Zero achievements so far.
If you find the answer, do print it.

The entire nation wants to know.

So far, so good.

Thanks.

The moments when he tries to crack jokes in the presence of foreigners......

LOL.

Not good enough.

Oh. Well, I think of him as a well-intentioned young person but in a wrong party.

He cannot tip the entire cabinet into Pakistan-hating. Let him be.

OK.

I agee, but that 199 against the BJP juggernaut is unforgivable.

Sorry, 199 ? SP won just 135 seats. And he was betrayed by a fickle-minded public. Again.

Should be banned for life, along with every member of the RSS and the Hindu Mahasabha, and their front organisations, pending passing of criminal legislation with retrospective effect to send them to jail.

Of course ban every member of RSS and HM but why Priyanka Gandhi ? :o:

Hypothetical North Indian Cabinet?

Anyway I like to have PTR as finance minister https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palanivel_Thiagarajan

A straight out Capitalist ? What for ?

This sort of recommendation could mean war.

.
. . .
How you know he is Capitalist? His father is founder of Justice party. He belongs to dravidian stock

From your own given wiki about him :

Corporate career

He began his career in 1990 as an independent consultant in Operations and Systems Improvement.[5] In 2001 he joined Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. as Trader and Co-Portfolio Manager – Firm Relationship Loan Portfolio.[6][7] He quit Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. as Head Of Offshore Capital Markets in the year 2008.[8][9] He then worked for Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore in the Global Capital Markets division. He quit Standard Chartered Bank as Managing Director, Financial Markets Sales in the year 2014.
And him being of Dravidian stock is irrelevant. :)
