Hurriyat rejects Pakistan High Commission's invitation for Eid Milan: reports!

sirji your young but ask any tranporter or buisnessman he will agree a longer that passes thru a fully controlled area is always more profitable than a short trechrous way that passes thru a uncotrolled area ;)
China borders with central Asia. You need to look at a map.

I agree. The shortest route to warm waters is Gwadar port. Its shocking how Pakistan failed to understand its geostrategic location for decades until Chinese took the initiative:

So Pakistan has allowed China to build the CPEC through a disputed territory of J&K? (GB is included in the UN Resolutions, for those who didn't know).

Let's say, hypothetically there is a plebiscite in J&K and the majority votes on both sides tilt toward India. Then what happens to the CPEC?

Therefore Pakistan should now give the Kashmir issue a decent burial and move on if they know what's good for them. What's theirs is theirs. What's ours is ours. In other words, make the LoC into a permanent border. Period.

And all this crap of an 'independent' Kashmir that most in the Hurriyat are agitating for, is just a lot of bull. They won't last even for a week by themselves. And neither can Pakistan support them economically seeing that India is spending an average of more than Rs 50,000 crores every year which includes subsidies, aid, grants, infrastructure etc.

It's all about pelf and power of, for and by these Hurriyat 'leaders'. They care a damn about the Kashmiris. For them, it's self before others.

Exactly. That's why India should stop filing objections towards CPEC as well as Pakistan should stop internationalizing Kashmir conflict.

NEW DELHI: Separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani in a surprise move has decided against attending an Eid Milan which is to be hosted by the Pakistan High Commission on July 21.

According to ZeeNews , Geelani rejected the invitation on the grounds that the Kashmir issue was "ignored" in the joint statement between India and Pakistan after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Indian premier Modi held their meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Ufa, Russia on July 10.

The Hurriyat Conference leader while speaking to a news agency said that he will register his protest by not attending the Eid Milan because the two leaders did not discuss Kashmir during their meeting in Ufa.

Rising Kashmir, a Srinagar based daily quoted a news agency as saying that Geelani made the announcement through a statement: “Hurriyat conference has decided not to attend the Eid Milan at Pak High Commission New Delhi,” a Hurriyat (G) statement said adding “this is in protest against not mentioning ‘Kashmir’ in Ufa Russia meeting between PMs of India and Pakistan.”

“Kashmiris and Kashmir dispute cannot be taken for granted,” Hurriyat statement said.

Opposition parties in Pakistan expressed reservations after the Modi-Nawaz meeting, with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) taking the lead to highlight that Kashmir was ignored.

Shireen Mazari expressed dismay at what she said was silence on the Kashmir issue and Indian involvement in Balochistan. “Modi raised Mumbai and Sharif agreed to ‘fast track’ the investigations. Not a word on Samjhota Express was uttered by PM Sharif,” she said earlier.

Last year, India had called off foreign secretary-level bilateral talks with Pakistan following criticism of Pakistani High Commissioner Abdul Basit meeting with Hurriyat leader Shabir Shah.

Pakistan had termed India's decision to call off foreign secretary level talks a setback to efforts by the Pakistani leadership to promote "good, neighbourly relations" with India.

Pakistan had also rejected India's reservation to Pakistani envoys meeting with Kashmiri leaders, as such meetings with Kashmiri leaders are held to facilitate meaningful discussions on the issue of Kashmir.

In Norwegian we have a famous saying:

"He who laughs last laughs best." :omghaha:

So to all you wannabe pro-Kashmiris; enjoy your Eid Milan Party without Hurriyat Leaders after all! I take all your pathetic attempts of personal insults in this thread for granted! :sarcastic:
Pakistan to host Hurriyat leaders on Eid in New Delhi

Hurriyat has finally been infiltrated

With leaders like these, how can you expect to solve any crisis.

This is the equivalent of a kid not getting his candy so he's going to take it out on someone the next opportunity he gets.

As for the Pakistanis calling our PM ganja, traitor etc etc. We wouldn't be in the position we are today if we, as a nation, were a little more mature and had the ability to see the broader picture.

I can't wait for the chosen one Imran Khan to be elected next time so that he can solve the Kashmir crisis first hand.
