Hurriyat hawks split as Syed Ali Shah Geelani 'softens'
SRINAGAR: The Muslim League, which is an important constituent of the All-Party Hurriyat Conference, has distanced itself from hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani following his involvement with track-II initiatives to find a solution to the J&K issue.
Masarat Alam, the jailed leader of the Muslim League, issued a press statement earlier this week distancing his outfit from Geelani's conglomerate, saying the "hard-line leader has softened his stand over the Kashmir issue under some unseen pressure or persuasion". The statement, which was released on Monday and is gaining traction now, said the League's members have decided that they would neither succumb to any pressure nor show any flexibility on the resolution of the Kashmir dispute. "We won't allow any individual or organization to do so," said Alam.
Geelani, who is camped in Delhi at this time of the year to avoid the harsh winter in Srinagar, has been holding meetings with various Indian leaders , including retired bureaucrats , journalists, politicians and lawyers. It is learnt that Geelani met senior BJP leader Ram Jethmalani at his Akbar Road residence for a discussion, apart from Shatrughan Sinha after he returned from a Pakistan visit.
Geelani is scheduled to visit Mumbai and Kolkata to brief leaders and civil society members and students about his perception on the Kashmir issue.
Alam is not alone in distancing himself from Geelani . Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, a second-line Hurriyat hardliners , has raised doubts about Geelani's activities in Delhi. He has said Geelani has wrong advisers and told the League members that he would join issue with Geelani after he returned from Delhi.
A close aide of Geelani said he had an meeting with Pakistani high commissioner Shahid Malik and other officials at his Malviya Nagar residence a few days ago. The Pakistani high commission, said the same source, also summoned chairman of moderate Hurriyat conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq , Shabir Shah and Nayeem Khan to discuss a peace plan for Kashmir. JKLF's Yasin Malik was kept out.

It is to be noted that Masarat Alam is the main conspirator and terrorist behind the stone pelting incidents. He is the brain behind that idea.
And his wife is the head of women terrorist organization called "Dhuktran e Millat"
They are spitting venom and terrorism because of lack of will on the part of the govt. to deal with the terrorists with iron fist.
