No 8 squadron, which fought both in 1965 and 1971 wars must have left some gaping holes on the enemy, for, it's marauding B-57 Canberra bombers had dropped 600 Tons of bombs on Indian Targets. Later the unit converted to Mirage-V PA3s with a dedicated maritime strike role with AM-39 Exocet as it's prime weapon.

1987 Historic moment :
Last Mirage batch of VPA3 Mirage for PAF at Bordeaux ready for ferry to New den Pakistan.
VPA3 was first fighter in PAF's inventory capable of carrying out anti ship missions using AM-39 Exocet AShM.
The Deltas ultimately served in 8 TA Squadron, Haiders

Someone needs to De-Anglofy our Military communications. I do not understand why almost 100% memorabilia coming out of military branches is in English language.
Sir, rehne dn. All our equipment, tanks, missiles have desi names already.

BTW, I would assume it helps with co-ordination with other armies. English is the only worldwide language after all.

I faintly remember reading a long time ago that US and indian pilots had trouble co-ordinating in red flag or some exercise due to having different lingo or something.

Maybe @Windjammer can confirm.

I think these memorabilia are usually given or shared with visiting armed forces dignitaries, the engraving briefly highlights a unit or squadrons history or achievements. I guess if they were in Urdu, the other side wouldn't know the background or purpose of such plaques.

Aisay jawano ka zikr kar rahay ho jaisay kay hamri Inventory may bara koi izafa howa hai.

Can do do us all a favor and translate that very simple plaque to Urdu without using any English words?

Thanks.
However, my question was related to @Kompromat 's contention about the need to "De-Anglofy our Military communications"

How beneficial is the having the same jargon when it comes to coordinating with other armies in exercises etc. Like in the case of nato phonetics, I understand some of our letters are pronounced differently, like I for Indus as opposed to I for India, used by nato.

For real? We still don't have block III in active service?

Bhai jaan, Block I tou pichlay 15 saal say hain aur Block II kon say 2022 may shamil howay thay.

Jab itnay jahaz retire kar rahay hain tou uun ka compliment bhee equal hona ch-ye hai.

Filhaal kisi ko ye tak nahe malum kay J-10's ka TOTAL order kya hai (officially/unofficially). Koi 36 khta hai. Koi 100. Koi 150. Ye kya [PDF] ke combined Girlfriends ka figure chal raha hai?!!

Khair, F-7's hain na... Uunsay he guzara kar lay-engay.
