Hundreds of Villagers in Swabi Come out in support of Mashal Khan

It is gratifying to see Pakistani society push back.

But I wonder, did Pakistan see the same sort of protests when a non Muslim was lynched for blasphemy?

The cases where Christians were lynched, I do not remember seeing such protests. Though I admit I do not follow these things too closely.

But it does seem to me that his tribal roots and his religion have more to do with this outpouring than anything else.

@salarsikander @Spring Onion

Do as I say, not as I do, coming from country ( India) which elected a Religious( Hindu) extremist party as its federal government, where minority Muslims are dragged by Hindu extremist Mob and killed for eating meat, did we see any kind of protest coming from Hindu majority against the killings, no, yet here you are giving us lessons

Only 2% of the population in Pakistan are either extremist or support them that's why they have never been able to form government, from the looks of it more and more hatred towards the bearded buffoons is growing hence the reason people are starting to come out on streets and protest out in the open against extremist

Not giving lessons. Did not tag you.

Was wanting Pakistani perspectives.

All you have given is a defensive retort. Not helpful, but thank you all the same.

I agreed with you but people in Pakistan are very emotional over religious matters and got irritated with someone who openly oppose the mainstream Islam, The unfortunate guy was active as Marxist and according to that theory religion has no place in that society which many new comers took it wrongly and became atheist and abusive to religions.
In fact as per Marxism religion is important thing but on personal level state shouldn't have ant religious association.
Emotional or not, they just killed the guy. Iwould worry where a society openly a cept mullah burqa and kills people in the name of blasphemy.

I'm personally not very fond of non religious people. As long as they don't shove it your throat fine by me and do not make fun and insult Islam. Once they do, obviously you temp but then again let the due process of law takes it course

wanting Pakistani perspective
PDF is not reflective of that in anyway

This is first step. When the people are rejecting the he was killed for wrong reasons. You can say the society is fighting back. Hopefully next time when someone else gets lynched a portion of society will again push back until it reaches a certain threshold whereby an entire culture would reject taking the laws in their own hand.

It well known that blasphemy laws are only misuse against non Muslim minority.

Good to see people rejecting mullah poison and waking up.

Him being active what not still Doe's warrant to his death. You do not kill someone because he rejects your idea or idea that is shared by all. You educate him, if he still goes on to humiliate and insult the idea deliberately, he can then be tried under justice system. Taking law in ones own hand is never really answer to anything

Thanks man.

I hope and pray our society does not need to go through the same learning pains.

I hope mand pray the same. The religious and cultural diversity of union of India needs to be protected and preserved.

Insha Allah.

I was speaking to another Muslim today, a brother Indian.

And we realized instantly that apart for the internet bombast (he is a very aggressive poster, sanghi killer - I am too, but more subtle) how uniquely tolerant our society truly is. In spite of the communal tensions and riots.

We have this huge British era market. Easily 150+ years old if not more. We have chicken and mutton and beef and fish and pork shops in the meat market. Side by side.

Now I am not Muslim. I went one day looking for luncheon meat and ham. I knew there was a Christian shop but had forgotten the name.

I was roaming around lost, when a Muslim shopkeeper (chicken stall) noticed me and asked what I wanted. I was embarrassed to ask him so I kind of just shook my head as if I was just looking around.

LOL he asks me, pork brother? I nod sheepishly. And he leaves his shop and takes me to the correct shop.

Indians are cool about meat. We have developed this sophisticated system of living together, eating peacefully, and not pissing anyone off.

Sanghi retards are hell bent on destroying a culture that is hundreds of years old.

Then you should have asked the question in that manner

the death of this guy really scare the hell out of my Chinese friends around.
Should religion be only used to disciple the people who believe it, instead of claim/force other people believe?

please tell me who has injected the nonsense into the minds of youth?

I think even a Child can answer this question. Obviously it's ZIA.

Ab ye na kehna Zia b molvi tha.

I still believe mullas belonging to ttp, lej, Lal mosque should be annihilated without any trials.

Exactly. i do agree.

Then why blame all ?

You're right.

You want all Mullah's to be killed. Still You ask other People to pray for you and even Pay them for this . Irony, No ?

The true reason of this murder can be anything but not religion. if you look close at this case. it was a Pre-Planned murder. using mob was just a "way" to accomplish this target. also all this blasphemy nonsense was used as "cover" to hide the true cause.

Lol check again, I said mulla for a reason, those who inject hateful thoughts.

Can you kindly explain how your "kill all mullah" approach will lead to cleansing of the minds of youth? If anything, it encourages violence. A simpler solution is to strengthen law enforcement and take politics out of policing, something KPK is doing.

Their execution and hunting will make sure nobody follows their path.

Apologies in Advance.

When Your Father/mother (God forbid) dies, Don't bury them in Graveyard. Because you can't. A molvi could have done this for you but you already killed them all.

A better Option is, Bury them at sea. or maybe a river.

Sorry if i hurt your feeling. i couldn't find any good words to convey my point. Nothing Personal.
