Hundreds of Chinese and Bangladeshi labourers in deadly clashes at Beijing-backed power plant near D

I personally have never had any problems with the Chinese; however if you read world guides, they come across as the worst tourists. Regarded as rude and selfish.

The Chinese government must train these people how to interact with foreigners.

Well Chinese have not left a good mark in Pakistan and now bangaldesh or Africa .
Pmln government for material benefits to get re-elected again , allot them very expensive projects , made by the Chinese loans with Chinese labors and huge profits to the Chinese companies. The two power plants still face problems daily .
And the scandle of marring pakiatan women . They can marry women by telling them their real financial condition, but lying about financial situation and then kidnapping women to bear kids . Un bearable..and other prostitution rings active too .
Their mentality is very different from us.
They are newly developed nation with the mentality of their people still not hanged and they think like people in non developed nation do also they have expansionist nature.
China is our friend but first impression is the last impression. Every where they go. People face the same problem. Their people fight local people and have no respect of local Culture etc .
I support economic projects and yes Pakistan is suffering through some tough times but Pakistan is not some nation that would just stay like this . We have our own embitions . We want friendship at equal terms .
Pakistan and China should only work on FDI or BOOT and never take any of the state loans from China anymore .
That's why diamer bhasha dam was refused by Pakistan as China was asking very bad terms and so at the peak of our friendship chairman wapda have to announce his displeasure at the terms China has to offer .
China should be careful in whom they send abroad as they represent the country .
Now they think it is time to find jobs for people abroad by giving loans and then sending their own people but Atleast select better people.
Till now they talk about 2nd face of cpec but don't talk about relocation of industry while Pakistani government is literly begging them for that and asking them again and again and even announcing their intention in world stage.

China should not send its workers to the sites where it is investing( in foreign countries)...it gives more locals job opportunities

There's often a culture clash. Chinese managers expect their workers to do long hours like they do at home. Usually resolves itself.

Right now china is doing charity just to improve national prestige and build relationships but some hell nations and their savage natives can't just operate with the Chinese who are too orderly, hardworking & rational.
They want the Chinese money for investment but don't want to put the effort in cooperation or rather too incompetent and then they start blaming chinese for not treating them equally or for only using chinese workers.

China can't simultaneously teach those incompetent & low iq workers while fighting hard to meet the timeline for project completion.
And when they fall out with the Chinese due to their own incompetence and lacking, they start rioting and latches on the western propaganda about Chinese exploitation.
And like US companies don't have records of tragical incidences with local workers .

China doesn't gain economically by investing in hellhole like bd or remote corners of africa where it will never be profitable for the chinese even after 20 years but many will bite the hand that feed them . Not everyone deserves generosity.

China is supposed to establish those facilities incorporating chinese tech which are more advanced and efficient when compared, how can Bangladeshi or Indian workers and such do that in their stead? It's the Chinese that have the technical know-how and the ability to complete the project in the provided time frame and get the job done.

I think what he was trying to say is that when you go to someone else's country, it is responsibility of the Visitors to learn the cultural background and sensitivities of the host nation, and not the other way around. And he is right. The onus is on the visitors, not the host country.
Sir if they adopt Indian or Bangladesh working culture the project will never see it's completion.

Most of the money will be embezzled and the overhead budget will spiral out of control and all these to only yield a faulty end result project that wouldn't even last .

Indopacific nations be glad to learn from more advanced nation and their experience instead of trying to degrade their advanced system to meet the low standard of the Indopacific to satisy some of the lazy, egoistic and smallminded locals .

Put them in ‘training centres’ or special education centres

Throughout the history , the Chinese have been isolationist and a closed state , they were and are averse to external influence , addition to this is their communist ideology which has made them to believe that Chinese state and culture is utopian and superior to any other state and culture , so clash of cultures is eminent
Nevertheless the Chinese culture is quite beautiful and rich in its own way but the problem is of belief

Although you are Indian and I am Chinese, I agree you have a point. There are some historical reasons for Chinese culture because of isolationism. There are pros and cons for neighboring countries. China don't like interference in other countries' internal affairs. Give neighboring countries quite a lot of freedom. Uncle Sam won't do that.

Things are changing fast, the young Chinese born after 90s, are quite different from traditional Chinese. They are quite open minded, communication and hospitable.

China was isolated by both camps during cold war, it strengthened Chinese insecurity and China prefer self-reliance. The psychological impacts on those elders who experienced cold war will last decades.

Regarding culture, I think Americans are well known for arrogance. I think most Chinese are humble relatively.

Those labors sent overseas are hardworking family guy. They just want to bring money home for parents and family.

Conflicts is quite normal, it happens anywhere. The propaganda is exaggerating.

Absolutely agree with u , chinese are quite hardworking and this doesn't blend with regions like south asia and culture of East Asia and South Asia is quite different so they are bound to be clashed , as more and more chinese get in contact with locals they will start to understand local culture

China must take proper measures when dealing with savages in the lawless Bangladesh region, therein people are as nasty as it can get.
Speaking of lawlessness and savageness nothing can beat the worms of the rape hole of earth:
.
.
Now crawl back to your rape hole you uncivilized maggot.

Hundreds of Chinese and Bangladeshi labourers clashed at the site of a power plant being built south of Dhaka, police said on Wednesday, leaving a Chinese worker dead and more than a dozen others injured.

Police said the violence was triggered by the death of a Bangladeshi worker at the site of the China-funded 1,320-megawatt plant, prompting locals to accuse the Chinese of trying to cover up the incident.

At one point, hundreds of Bangladeshi and Chinese workers were fighting at the site – about 200km south of the capital – and more than a dozen were injured, including six Chinese who were taken to hospital.

“One of the Chinese workers later died in the hospital. He had injuries to his head,” local police chief Monirul Islam said, adding it took more than 1,000 police to restore calm.

China is a close ally of Bangladesh, and Chinese state-run and private firms have invested billions of dollars in the South Asian country’s infrastructure projects – mostly in power, energy and transport sectors.

The presence of large numbers of Chinese workers in Bangladesh, as in other countries where Beijing is investing heavily, has caused some tensions with locals, and officials said similar clashes occurred a year ago.

Police said more than 6,000 people – including some 2,000 from China – work at the power plant site.

2,000 workers from China?
For such a project, the usual number is 100.

Look this is a way to drop their unemployment rate; what is happening is they are doing this grand project to ensure their domestic industries thrive yet at the peril of other countries local industries. I can tell you China's dumping of textiles, shoes and other goods devastated our local industries which had been thriving for a very long time and doing extremely well. Morale of the story, they come in destroy your local base and then supplant it with imports from China.

That has been my personal experience as well.
