well, all i can say is stupidity comes in a duality, that are stupid nutjob out there, but there are a equal akount of stupidity saying that even to prosecute those nutjob is not allowed, we see the US have a patriot act of sort and allow the LEA to do whatever they want, thing is we dont have that in Australia, so facts is our government dont want want to be seen as prosecuting a religion, even muslim also denounce those nutjob, but for us, normal folks, prosecuting those nutjob will be equate to prosecuting muslim...

And I just sont see how our government will kick those nutjob out..

Leave other religions, even thinking about their own well-being is enough. They want to protest against the same secular values that even gave them the freesom to protest like this in the first place. In some Taliban-like society that they desire, they would get lashed for even talking a bit loud let alone doing this.

I think they are doing this in the hopes of a hostile reaction from the people and the government (restricting them) to make a point on western freedom of expression. Best thing to do is just ignore them and not give them the attention they want.

Sure but they are becoming annoying, i have to explain their BS to my collegues in my company because im a muslim too, you just cant ignore a violent group thats demanding to cut your freedoms, with that logic we should also ignore neo Nazis.

I'm no sociologist mate but i'll try and explain as i could

It's pretty loud in fact those are the only voices that seem to come out of the Muslim communities these days.. I partly blame the so called silent more secular majority as well they are equally to be blamed for the world wide view of extremist Islam these days by thier conspicuous silence

Most south East Asians are well integrated like the Malaysians and Indonesians the problem seems to be mainly the Lebanese, Somali, Egyptian as far as i know

Most i know are middle class people holding decent jobs and business people

This problem is not confined to the West as some try to portray.. Even in the older countries in Asia there is cause to worry.. General populace is jittery of this sudden turn of fundamentalism in thier respective Muslim communities.. Places like Sri Lanka where Muslims have been living for centuries in harmony, Where a head scarf of a Muslim lady or evening payers of a Mosque was normal thing.. Have suddenly changed to Muslims segregating themselves Muslim women suddenly started appearing in full black burkha's covering themselves head to toe in tropical heat.. Men folk suddenly changed thier appearances.. They started changing demographics in certain area's and Arabic a total alien language stared to appear in shop fronts in Muslim majority area's.. Muslims who have been speaking in native languages for thousands of years suddenly changing it to Arabic.. Madrasa's started taking prominence over secular education.. Hate speech against other religions particularly denigrating Buddhism by some preachers, Violent attacks on Sufi mosques and more mainstream Muslims started.. Demanding things like Sharia and Halal, When non of those were needed or wanted preceding years for centuries

All these in a matter of a decade and a half.. So there is genuine fear among people.. And it's not due to racism or anti Islam.. It's a genuine fear of a alien culture forcing itself in to thiers, Demanding them to adhere rather than the other way around where people need to integrate to the mainstream society.. I think all right thinking Muslims need to realize this.. Yes there are those who try to vilify the religion and people unfairly but why they are heard as well.. Introspection is needed

Cause the answer to it should be seen in my previous post in which I quoted the statements made by the protesting parties and their intentions.

In short: They are against the nutheads demanding sharia laws in Australia and other radical dark age thinking. Nobody ever said anything about Hindus until you came up with it.
