Well we actually spend a lot of time interacting with local Tibetans as we joined a local tour. We stay in ABA which is a Tibetan majority town. We also had a local Tibetan guide who was very open and talk about the stereotyping of the Tibetan people by the Hans. Our tour group were all Hans!
It was also interested to see the local tourists warm up and participating in Tibetan dancing and singing activities and being so patient with the slow Tibetan service. Tibetans just want a good life and working very hard to improve their life. And by the look of their houses their life are improving a lot. Hence the reason why they display the red flag.

Again. If they say otherwise, If they say the truth about how they feel about Chinese occupation and Chinese aggression. They will be thrown in jail for the rest of their lives. It is life or death situation and well-being of their families. You seem very ignorant about the situation or you just want to live in your own bubble. By the way, this harsh and fascist treatment doesn't only go for the Tibetans and Uighur but also Ethnic Han people. This kind of fascism won't go on forever, it never does. I was traveling from JuiZhaiGuo to Chendu and passing many Tibetan villages.
This is a picture I took of one of the village. If you look carefully you will see many Red Chinese Flags.
Being on a moving bus, I only manage to take this one village and there were many villages I passed with many Chinese flags.

people believe what they want to believe, it's ridiculas for a Han Chinese to still hang a picture of Mao, but the old Tibetans, mostly hang a picture of all Chinese leaders up to Xi, because we really did free them.

While there is definite tension and still much adjustment is needed, but a lot of them that feels uncomfortable, some even going back to the grasslands rather than stay in the city feels the government is making the right call, but it's just not for them and they want their children to experience old Tibet culture while still pursue a life in the cities.

This is crazy. The UN should go in and investigate. If the rights of people are being oppressed and their is a vote needed, that should happen and the world should support the Tibetians. 3 Million Tibetians is a huge number of people in such tragic situation.

Not sure if there are many young Tibetans that want to go back to the old life style. Per the Tibetan Guide in our tour, her mother's life was very harsh.

Soon there will be a non-stop high speed train from Chengdu to Lhasa. Airasia have cheap flights to Chengdu. Soon Lhasa will only be two short trips from Kuala Lumpur !

They will when the conditions are right. I believe China will economically disintegrate. In such a scenario where Chinese Han topple Beijing, the Uighur and Tibetans will go for independence.

why don't you speak of other socialist states in the world... starting from soviet union and ending with libyan jamahiriya... they were glorious.

the communists in india have realized their mistakes over the decades and are repairing them... hope is that they repair quickly and guide india into real democracy.
