In mid 2020, one year after Huaweis Harmony OS reveal in mid 2019, with the entire groundwork for Harmony OS already laid out, the development team was further scaled up and some of Huawei's international R&D branchess including its Russian branch joined the existing Harmony OS project because the project enjoyed priority status and was prepping to be rolled out on larger scale to replace other OS entirely on Huawei and other major Chinese brands smartphone and IOT devices. Which at this point is in the middle of the rollout process in cooperation with other brands.

In other words this insecure American fakenews is a spin on almost 1 year old non-news about a project revealed almost 2 years ago and going on for at least half a decade, and is just butthurt damage control after the US regime completely failed to cripple Huawei and now instead faces erredication of an U.S. company from Asian and further markets.
