The US trade war and ban on Huawei is a blessing in disguise. No matter how much short term pain it may bring, the Chinese people must endure as we will come out much stronger from it. China's reliance on Western technology has long been China's Achilles heel. China has enough know-how now to develop it's own semiconductor and chip industry. It may take time to get all areas up to World leading standards but it will be well worth it when we get there. Technology is the driver of future economic growth so China needs to call the shots and not keep being subservient to Western bullies.
