HT Survey: Congress ahead of rivals before Delhi Elections.

Sheila Dikshit vs Arvind Kejriwal: who's winning Delhi?

What's on the minds of Delhi's voters? Will chief minister Sheila Dikshit return to power for the fourth time?

Does Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party have a serious chance in the elections? In an exclusive Hindustan Times-C fore survey, we asked people across the national capital their opinions on the upcoming elections.

The survey found that 35% voters in Delhi consider rise in food prices as the top issue in their minds: only 7% of them consider corruption to be the biggest issue. The Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party were neck-and-neck among young, first-time voters.

Research organisation C fore conducted the survey between 1st August and 10th September, 2013, covering all the assembly constituencies in Delhi. In each assembly constituency about 200 interviews were conducted. In all, 14689 voters were interviewed using a structured questionnaire.

As many as 48% of the respondents were females. Here are five results from the survey. Come back later for the entire results of the survey. Watch a debate on the survey results at 8pm on CNN-IBN.

.
this is local election and bjp does not have a good opposition to congress.. they dont have good CM candidate who can go against current CM..
even hard core bjp supporters here wont claim a possible victory in delhi... :P

This isn't 'local' but extremely important and a litmus test. Shiela Dikshit butchered an then incumbent BJP government and has been in power for now I think 3 terms. Unlike TN, or Kerala, in a city where he has been featured so much, if he can't swing voters, then believe that he is hot air. If he can't swing delhi with anti-incumbency, corrpution allegations (CWG) and huge relevant publicity as the head of the election machine- he can't swing AP, TN, Kerala or any other state where he has direct footprint (like Gujarat)

I expect BJP to get extra vote in delhi, during national election .. not local election.. the separate election timing is going to help bjp

Kejriwal will make congress win easy in Delhi and this election BJP must win lest they will loose moral battle before it starts

It's not just about that. Kejriwal is the true force of change (unlike BJP which is only wanting to make use of the situation). It is important he makes a breakthrough so that all parties understand people in the country aren't stupid, but I don't think he's thinking straight on policy. So it's important he doesn't win either- I think he should look very carefully at what he is proposing as economic policy and revise. The days of socialism are over.

But mind it , this poll consists of only certain age group and I doubt it's credeblity too.

.
I sincerely doubt the credibility of these surveys...Media has nowadays become a tool.....
These surveys just publish the final result.None of them publish the raw data.
Now in the surveys done by Yogendra Yadav, our country's top psephologist(but also AAP leader) AAP is clearly winning a majority.
So to prove their credibility they have published all their raw data including each individual interview.

May be deihites can give a clear idea of the situation.......

If you don't know anything please don't even comment... a joint commissioner in Incom Tax Dept...you could have imagined how much black money he could have earned. But he chose the right path left his job, dont forget he is an IITian too..

Also all money for his party comes from donations from common ordinary delhi people who are interested in AAP there is no big support for them...I live in Delhi I know how Congress does gundagardi here by tearing AAP posters and don't even dare to touch BJPs cuz they know the only threat is Kejriwal.. he is an honest man and will definitely change the Delhi.

All Delhi Govt earns from water tax is unwanted , Kejriwal will remove this tax and don't forget the JanLokpal Bill which will tremendously remove corruption ... only thing AAP is lagging is awareness in some patches of Delhi people don't even know the what is AAP... Kindly do a proper research on the topic...blatant non sense statements are not going to help
