Judging from the secrecy of Pakistani procurement's whenever possible. This could already be operational somewhere in Pakistan.

Infact Wikipedia lists both Pakistan Army and Airforce as a operator.

Aster-30 block-1NT or above will be very good against any Western jet and will add limited ABM capability too.

Both HQ-9 and Aster-30 can complement each other.

more than high altitude its the low level threats that are far more dangerous, there needs to be systems to target smart munition and all forms of standoff bombs from reaching their targets! a tri system consisting of laser, rocket and guns.

Got many AA guns just need to tandem a good laser system and a good rocket system like the Denel Cheetah c-ram

i completely agree we need the hq-9. russians wouldn't sell us s-400 or s-300, it will jeopardize their dealings with india. if we buy enough of the fd-2000 (hq-9 export variant) to cover our borders the rafale is useless.

You have raised a very important point.
With India trying to make aerial strikes in Pakistan a norm. Essentially trying to replicate what Israel does in ghaza.

This time Allah gave us upper hand but we need to better prepared. We should get more SAMs and look into getting a system that can counter incoming precision munitions.

SQ- 9 has 125KM range ,which can defend our LOC from IAF and short range missiles attacks .

Guys PAK Air defence already has fd-2000 SAM system from china, PAKISTAN will show when the time comes.

As we did not know about LY-80, MRL's A-100 and Z9c helicopter. The same surprise will be give to the nation about Hq-9/FD-2000 systems

I too prefer FD 2000 as per depending on availability/offer of system to Pakistan and Aster 30 is as well could be potential system, we can add to our defence.

I believe, in near future we will have that FD 2000 by considering India Pakistan conflicts.
