HOW WE (PAKISTANIS) SHORTCHANGED BANGLADESH

The difference between Bangladesh's and Pak's GDP is same in 2013 as it was in 1971. Pak's GDP is still nearly double than Bangladesh's GDP even in 2013. But Bangladesh's GDP growth rate is quite high as compared to Pak since 2008 so Bangladesh is progressing more than Pak in economic front since 2008.

and talking about GDP, check whose economy growing faster and how much, we started from almost zero.

We started from scratch in 71......we did not get any reparations...we did not get our share of national assets.....we did not get our share of reserve.....we did not get our share of gold.....

I would have asked you the question if you were facing a war in which 80-100 billion $ was lost and economy crippled .. not to forget issues like terrorism n load shedding..

If we go in and destroy your country and make you guys start from scratch just like we did in '71 you won't be able to come close to us in the next 100 years!

After the war BD lost its track. And it couldnt find its goal since 90.

When the democracy arrived its economy started flourishing.
From 91 to 2013, 23 year's achievements are not so small.

I think everyone can agree that Pakistan and Bangaldesh should never have been together in the first place and it was doomed to be a failure.

There's nothing in common between us, its like asking Pakistan and Malaysia to form a country together.

A 9-month long war is enough to break the backbone of economy for a nation for next 40 years. Despite that we managed to stand within last 40 years. Just few days ago we surpassed Pakistan on foreign reserve with 20 million less people than Pakistan. Check all the human development indexes, Pakistan is probably 4 years behind Bangladesh on life expectancy. And GDP, GNP...what's the point arguing on these? If you had one with land and air difference, we could argue but definitely we won't stay behind on any index with Pakistan....it's our promise, count the day.

We did not have industries in the East wing.....The Federal Government set them up in the West wing......Look at your heavy industries...weapons manufacturing.etc.....Do you think the government kept reserves in State Bank(East) during such a war?Do you think your government was that kind of idiot?My grandfather worked at the state bank....It was disfunctional from the begining of the war.....Do you think we would have faced a famine if you had left so much wealth for us in the eastern wing?We did not have a functioning road system.....railway system......the few bridges that we had were destroyed.....Are you comparing your present status with ours in 71??

In 1986 Pakistan arranged for their immigration as soon as Ribatat al Alam al Islami (Union of the Islamic World), a voluntary organization based in Saudi Arabia, could mobilize sufficient funds.

lol 9 months war is long enough to break back bone of country but 12 years war is much smaller than 9 month. You faced 9 month war, had you been facing a long war (12+years) like Pakistan your country would've break into pieces. Even Soviet Union could not survive in this war whereas Pakistan is still standing(Masha'llah) with economy growing somewhat.

9 month war is enough if the economic condition is very poor. Well then India gets more credit on bold part.
