How UK destroyed Indian economy..

I just know that if britishers would have never invaded India then there would have been no Pakistan , no pdf , no enemy , no trolling .
Errrr......life would have been so boring then

Also, there would be no India. You won't know which country you are living in. Could it be another Muslim empire? Or could it be just a princely state? who knows.

.
Still blaming others instead of improving

Hilarious coming from a Pakistani.

OT: Let bygones be bygones. There is no point in dwelling in the past. They were the victors and we were the conquered at that time. Obviously they were going to exploit us. Talking about it now isn't going to change anything.

.
India as a country benefit from British India. Without the British, there won't be an India. It would composed of many princely states with a Muslim empire and a Hindu empire some where in the Indian subcontinent. So India should regard Britain as the mother country and the queen the head of the state.

Without US there would be no Taiwan as a separate country..so why don't you make US president as your head of state.

.
you mean to say we are improving and we are blaming to other for not improving.....well we are not talking about Pakistan here ...we are talking about India.....

so what you saying, you are not even improving??

.
Wrong, the Princely states were always under the rule of someone else.
There were two major empires back in the day. The Mughal Empire and the Hindu empire which was pretty big too.
There were a few big ones, biggest being mughal empire... but through out India there were multiple princely states ofcourse not all of them independent, but not united either.

sir, till 1947, Britian, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc were part of one country, the Britain. and if we see this graph, economy size of the state Britain increased on the expanse of the states of South Asia. the larger size of state of British economy since 1820 to 1950, and it had almost a similar decline of economy size of states of South Asia/ India.
(mainly in between 1820 to 1900, almost a similar/linear growth of economic size of Britain as decline of economic size of South Asia/India. and after 1900, Britain wasted Indian wealth/talent in WW1 and WW2 so even in Indian economy continue to decline in between 1990 to 1947 also, British economic size was almost same in between 1900 to 1947, have a close look on this graph..............)

and its very simple right now also. for example, if all the talents of Indian Subcontinent start developing techs for British industries only and then Britain starts selling those products at high price in South Asia itself, then simply you will only do agriculture to pay for high price for luxury life of British :meeting:. like, how share of agriculture in Indian economy was around 70% at the time of freedom

but it would first be required to rob India completely, looting every gold/diamond and other luxury stuffs, enslaving all those who may do any business, to make them working for the state of Britain only. and then, conduct different competitive exams held in UK to hire the best Indian talents to have high techs, like how British made a system during British Raj in India :pop:

(1819 was the year when British could finally win over Maratha Empire after over 15 years of war so it is said to be the time when British Rule started in India since then.)

UK destroyed us by partitioning us so that we wont be a hurdle for them in future . We like fools were busy in fighting against each other (fact) . While India remained neutral but under the umbrella of USSR , Pakistan chose NATO which made it to become prey again in the hands of US . NATO used Pakistan to counter USSR and succeeded . Now when the situation is out of US control they again took advantage of Pakistan , and they wont let Pakistan grow . India is now recovering from the west impact and is now able to work with them .
Ps I brought Pakistan here because it was a part of India which became prey to UK once .

Taiwan exists as a political entity because of the Chinese civil war. India exists because of British imperialism. So its not a fair comparison. So Indian should receive higher standard of living under the british rule. but as Indians insist on ruling yourself, at least don't blame others for your lack of ability to rule a nation.

Many of you would say that Indian economy is growing now. this is what happens when you admit that you are incapable and hand the country over to an Italian waitress. Imaging if you hand over India to a Italian Matre'd or a chef. How about a Italian singer or Austrian body builder?

.
Still we are on right track for future, so it wont make much difference. And there's zero possibility of future reunion, the only thing left to do is to stop more territories from being stolen by enemies.

It is said that if the Sub-continent was to be colonized then better be the Brits than the Americans. The former looted much but also gave some back. In contrast the American colonialism of the Philippines left a much worse State behind them. Brits were relatively disciplined, even visionary colonialist. Even Hitler admired the Brits colonialism.

.
British looted and plundered India and took entire wealth of India. Britishers destroyed our indigenous cottage industries. India was one of the poorest countries after British left.

For the unfaithful guy, we expect the same blah blah lines from chinese posters, so we are not surprised.

Dude it doesn't matter how much you play with the words, the fact that only thing in between PRC's boots and Taiwan's a$$ is US. If not for US you would have become PRC's part a long time ago. So its high time that you make a Black American Obama as your head of state and not some Hans.

Indian growth story started in 1991 and see who was in power then. As for her dig at Sonia Gandhi...most Indians are not xenophobic like you.

and who was in power when CHina, ASEAN etc opened their market even in 70s and who was responsible to delay industrialization of India till 1991? whoever adopted path of industrialization, got progress and Indian growth story was written by Indian professionals/businessmen. Indian economy was made of around 70% agriculture in 1947 and this is the sector which can't grow by more than 2% on long term. and if growth of India was lower till 1991 then mainly it was because agriculture had a larger share in it till then. and if share of agriculture is around 17% only in Indian economy right now then its because the other sectors grew up with a much faster pace than agriculture, isn't it? and during 60s/70s, agriculture had share of 50% in Indian economy making it have overall slower growth, even if service/industry might have grown by 7% during that time also. and right now share of agriculture is just 17% so if service/industry grow by 9%, it result in a combined growth of over 8%........

all the Industries had gone to UK till 1947 and now only you have an industrial/service base, after 65 years of struggle which includes economic struggle before 1991 also :agree:. and also, per capita income of India was higher than China till 1991, what this means? check as below:

India GDP per capita PPP

China GDP per capita PPP

key decisions are taken by think tank, whether it was for ASEAN, CHina, East Asia etc, all got higher growth, much higher than India when they adopted path of industrialization.......

British did destroy Indian industry and when Mr Gandhi and his men made them run from India, since then only India could think to have Industries, whether cottage or higher. read it as below on the government website of India:

Influenced by the Bhagvad Gita and Hindu beliefs, the Jain religion and the Christian teachings of Leo Tolstoy, Gandhi moved on the path of Satya and Ahimsa. ‘Satya’ meaning ‘truth’ and ‘ahimsa’ meaning ‘non-violence’ were the two weapons that Gandhi used to fight the enemy.

Gandhi inspired people to boycott British goods and refuse earthy possessions. This movement was known as Swaraj and was economically significant because Indian home industries were virtually destructed by British industrialists. He advocated renewal of native Indian industries and began to use a spinning wheel as a token of return to simple village life. Thereafter, he constantly began promoting satyagraha, non-violence, non-cooperation and swaraj to achieve independence. Finally, in August 1947, the British were forced to leave India.

and what life style British used to have before they came to India, can be read as below:

A History of Poverty

Poverty in the Middle Ages

Not much was written about poverty in the Middle Ages. The poor were not considered important. Much more was written about the rich and powerful.
However in the Middle Ages poverty was common. England was basically a subsistence economy where each village made most of the things it needed and most of the population were subsistence farmers. They grew as much food as their families needed (if they were lucky).Surprisingly, perhaps, examining Medieval skeletons shows that most people had an adequate diet, except in times of famine.

However life must have been very hard for the disabled. There were many disabled beggars in Medieval towns.

The Church tried to help the poor. The Church taught that it was a Christian duty to give to the poor. In monasteries a monk called an almoner gave alms to the poor. However in the Middle Ages fearful poverty was an inescapable part of life.
Things did improve after the Black Death of 1348-49. In England about one third of the population died. Afterwards there was a shortage of workers so wages rose. In the 15th century wage labourers were better off then in the 13th century.
