If Indias dumb but yet number one coercive political leadership feels that Nepali land could be used by the anti-India elements and thus the continuous encroachment could be the solution, then, it is mistaken?
Whether Nepal could be used by foreigners against India or not but with the continuous bullying by Mrs Sonia Gandhi elevated Dr. Man Mohan Singhs notorious regime it is almost certain that India will soon see each and every Nepali national becoming a formidable threat to India. The process is on with the anti-Maoist stance taken freshly by the Indian regime.
Of the total 26 districts adjoining India, Nepali lands to the tune of 65 thousand hectares have already been gulped by the so called traditional neighbor, 37800 hectares only in Kalapani- Limpiyadhura, to say the least.
The total Nepali land that India has grabbed in Susta alone has approached about 14,000 hectares, says Buddhi Narayan Shrestha.
Mr. Shrestha is a border expert of Nepal and a senior retired Nepal government bureaucrat.
If India needs Kalapani-Limpiyadhura area to keep and eye in to the Chinese activities on the other side of the border, then the encroachment in Susta for agricultural purposes, says the president of the Unified Nepal National Front, Mr. Phanindra Nepal.
Indian appetite for lands of a much smaller neighbor continues unabated, though.
It is for nothing that the radical Nepali Communists take India as expansionist force that unfortunately is Nepals immediate neighbor.
In November 2008, Nepali media came with the revelation that 557 Jungey pillars (Border demarcation pillars) were missing from the districts of Jhapa, Ilam, Morang, Sunsari and Saptari.
Morang district has 84 pillars but one is missing right now. Sunsari district had initially 253 pillars of which 245 pillars are only available. The rest India has swallowed.
Some 200 meters Nepali lands remain under the occupation of India in Sunsari district. The occupied lands have already been assimilated into the Indian Union.
India quietly grabs Nepali lands as India tilted Nepali leaders get entangled with the India created and manufactured political deadlock in Nepal, analysts claim.
In the district of Bara, India has recently destroyed 264 border pillars out of 685.
The conclusion was made by the International Relations and Human Rights Committee (IRHRC) of the Constituent Assembly after completing a field visit, May 20, 2009.
The CA delegation was led by Nepali Congress leader and CA member Mr. Nabindra Raj Joshi.
Mr. Joshi told reporters that India has already built settlements in the freshly occupied Nepali lands.
The Nepali leaders in Kathmandu have maintained a stoic silence yet.
Shame on the Nepali leaders.
Border Pillar Numbers from 358/4 to 389/1 in Matiharwa, Basantapur, Southern Jhitkaiya, Badkai Fulbariya, Kabahigod Bagahi, Hardiya, Pakadiya, Beldari, Piparpati, Bisunpur, Armatgunj, Solagunj, and Kachorba VDCs of Bara have already been gulped by India.
