Sure `1 billion runs our country and weapons on loans or past payments or national resources cant buy weapons frm china.

Remember one thing , there is absolutely no system on the face of this planet which could stop a solid fuel Ballistic Missile - to date-.

Govts like to convey a message of relief to their military and public they don't freak out , ABM technology is evolving but wouldn't become a wild card against Ballistic Missile attacks anytime soon.

Lets not be dragged too far away with Ballistic missiles , Cold start wont see Ballistic Missiles flying around.

you do realize the THAAD system has been successfully tested against solid fueled Hera missiles since 99? Israel had this capability with they're arrow missiles the Russian have too with there A-135 S-300/S-400 systems. we use modified MRBM solid fueled Prithvi missiles as target missiles for PAD and AAD.

there is a very small chance that ABM fails but rarely if they have developed properly besides laser based defense is being developed as a safety net with that missiles can be destroyed in there boost phase alone.

cold start might see Nasr,Abdali,Ghaznavi missiles which the Akash/AAD can intercept
